Where have I been?
Working two jobs, doing my best by my FT job, and filling my hours outside this planning and managing a move of a large production company.
Many evenings, early mornings, and weekends planning, organizing, and packing.
See all of that stuff in the first video? Just a 1/3 of what we moved out of the office that day. 🤯 It doesn't always feel like it is going to work out
I frustrate myself when snags come up, and I question some of my moves that day or my not putting more pressure on the staff at the company to pack sooner than later (try as I might have warning, I should have been more forceful I see now)
But at the end of the day, when that 6000 SQ FT office is broomswept and empty
There is such a rare, unique feeling of accomplishment and exhaustion that results.
I've now consulted on and managed 10 major office, school, and home moves.
It's a challenging, deadline driven job, but oddly I thrive in that kind of environment.
Design and architecture offices, sales of summer homes, full-scale dormitory moves on my alma mater's campus, people fleeing the city for other countries and terrains...
Add to this now... a massive Manhattan production company.
