I know, I know, another pic of our hooman. She said this was important to her and wanted to get it into the #meowsisterslovingiveaway because this is her chance to let the world know about Gus. Gus, named that by our woman once she rescued him and took him in, was living in the yard and driveway of our neighbourSo here is the story of Gus. Our meowmy and dad did not realize Gus was neglected until one morning after moving into a townhouse next door 4 mths earlier, when walking the dogs that they saw him sleeping in the middle of this gravel driveway next door and she, our meowmy, knew something was not right so she walked up to Gus and held out her hand and petted him.He let out a faint mew, and had one eye closed shut and looked up at her, and she petted him and gasped because he was so skinny, he was near death. Our dad ran back which was just next door, and brought him a can of cat food which Gus devoured. As Gus was eating the cat food in the driveway, a guy in a jeep drove up into driveway and said, oh yeah thats my cat., he is really old. Our dad says ok then, the guy says it's his cat, we should not interfere. So two weeks go by and we hear Gus meowing in the yard next door, the shithead owner was not taking care of him. So we took him in. We took him to the vet and he had it all going on. Heart murmur, fleas, worms, kidney disease. So we took care of that all. It was still warm outside and he, Gus, didn't know anything other than eating outside and he was loving but skeptical so, our dad Sam would put food out for him knowing Gus would come around to our driveway to eat. Long story short as I know I have made this story not to be, Gus moved in, he was happy, and lived a happy rest of his old life as he was 17 or 18 years when they took him in, or rather, he let them love him. He didn't have to spend any more cold winters outside, or be ever be starved for food or water or love. He was diagnosed with cancer in Sept 2014 with only a month or two to live but lived till Feb 14, 2015. Meomwy held his face in hers as he crossed the Rainbow Bridge, so he knew nothing but love.
