On Tuesday I do hip hop class because j cardio is serious lacking. In phase two, Tuesday is ALSO cardio. That’s too much cardio in one day for someone who hates cardio. So on Tuesday I lifted and I went to hip hop but I did not push play on day 34. Wednesday April 18th it snowed. Relevant? Yes. Because it killed my spirit and I didn’t workout on my lunch which is usually when I do my Beachbody workout. So I went straight to the gym after work. Gathered up all the weights I would need and pushed play not once, but twice! And I did so in a sports bra for the first time, which was waaayyy outside of my comfort zone. But it was hot. I was hot. I am hot. Lol. And I killed cardio core and total body core! Afterwards I felt#strong and #empowered and #proud
The gym was packed.... so I didn’t record my workout but I did take a couple of mirror selfies afterwards!

Went to sleep a little later than usual because I was out celebrating 🎊 a friend’s birthday last night, so waking up was not easy! Eating my preworkout meal was easy...but actually starting the workout was HARD! However, the great thing about exercise is, once you’ve been going for about 10 minutes, it’s easier to keep going and finish!😃 .

TBT (2010) to occasional cardio me. Back when I’d count points with WW, did home workout videos, and went to the gym (occasionally) to do cardio. I managed to drop some weight (I was about 150 at that point) which started me on a good path. It’s not til my husband got me lifting in 2012, that I realized I can look better, feel better, and I won’t get manly by weight training (I mean, unless that was my goal). Recreated it this morning for 💩n giggles, for a comparison pic to see the then and now😂, not an easy task guys, lol.

In a world we’re convenience is everywhere .... it can be hard to take away from your own time when it comes to meal prep! I get it! Fast food, carry out, sushi in a grocery store. It’s all readily available and probably not all the best choices to help you reach your goals. .

What if homestyle meal prep was done for you ... how many of you would love to just place an order on a Saturday and get it Monday for the whole week ? Fill the gap in your day (lunch) , have a healthy meal for your kids after school or the weekends when you don’t want to cook. We take meal prep very serious and know how it can take your strength training, work day or even busy kids schedule to the next level. One year progress pictures. Not going to lie on the 11th when it had actually been on full year since having my son I was super down in the dumps. My mother in law posted a picture of me giving my son his birthday cake and I looked 5m pregnant and it was super depressing. But here's the thing I was also on my period and was crazy stressing trying to make everything perfect for my in laws visit, which didn't happen so even more stress so I was crazy bloated. I also started comparing myself to other women who have had babies and snapped back right away and my body just does not do that. I vented to the lovely #nachoaveragefitchick sisterhood and the lovely ladies got my mind back to the right mindset. I gave myself a week to debloat from my period and relax from all the stress and reevaluated my progress and now looking at these pictures and (had my annual yesterday) my doctor said my postpartum progress was great and she can see a big difference, I am actually seeing it in myself. For me I didn't focus on losing fat right away I really wanted my muscle back and it wasn't till March that I felt I had gained a good amount of muscle that I wanted to start working on leaning out a little more. I still have a long way to go before I get to my goal but hey I'm making progress!

I didn’t want to work out at all. I have zero energy because I’ve been eating like crap and my mood has reflected that. I finally sucked it up and stepped on the scale. I gained 12lbs 😳I am so disappointed in myself and haven’t been holding myself accountable in the least bit. Just needed to express that. It felt so good to pick up the weights again this morning! After taking a much needed rest from lifting, I was eager to get back at it this morning and picked one of my previous favorites: strength 45 from the shift shop. The last time I did this workout was this summer and at that time I thought I was close to the best I would ever get. I thought I had peaked and just would continue to maintain the gains I had seen. Little did I know that all I needed to get over this plateau was a new way of approaching my fitness. A new eating plan plus a different workout style was all my body needed to not just push past this plateau but break down a previous belief that I could only be so good. But now I know this is only a lie that I used to tell myself, because I have the ability to be better every day. I can continue to get stronger, do more and achieve every goal I set before me because unlike before I believe anything is achievable if you work hard enough for it ✨

So just finished with my calculations 🤓 and yes, just thinking about maybe working out burns, well, not that many calories to be exact! 😅😂😋

Start off easy, say with a walk. Go on for an hour with music and headphones or listen to something inpiring while walking. 🎵 Then slowly go for longer walks, did u know that a two hour walk (~12 km) burns up to 800+ calories?! 😊 -
Try something new with a friend, get sweaty, and don't be afraid of blowing it the first time. 😁 We all started somewhere! 🙌 -
Just get moving, put on that workout gear before parking that booty on the sofa if going is the hard part. "I regret finishing that workout" said no one ever. 💪💯 It's sooooo good for u and u know it! 💖

»»I was cleared to slowly add walking or other light cardio back into my daily routine.. I honestly I am not stressing it his time. This was the hardest pregnancy for me mentally and physically. I’m only 17 days postpartum and still have a lot of healing to do. And then in 3.5 weeks I’ll be having 2 surgeries that will need more healing. Just loving on this new little miracle and keeping up with my other 2 kiddos is enough for now. And to be totally honest I feel pretty awesome!! This lady overheard me talking with a friend at the gym this morning about dieting. She was like why in the world are you dieting? I explained to her that I’m doing a competition and for the stage you have to be very lean for muscles to show properly. As a normally lean person anyway, I have to work extremely hard to achieve stage leanness. She asked well why do u do it? I told her that I enjoy it. I like the challenge it and control it gives me. For me, it’s no different than other people who do burpee challenges or detoxes or weight loss comps at work or whatever else. And it’s fun!!
That being said this whole week my ❤️hasnt been in it. I want to quit. I’m not where I want to be.
But I’m ok. I enjoy planning my training, managing my macros. I take pride in doing it all myself. It’s the fun part for me. Why let someone else have that fun? Would I perform better with a coach or something- maybe. But for me, this is a fun hobby. I never really care about winning. I just want to beat myself. People think that’s bs. But it’s true. Reluctantly up early to complete a workout before getting ready for work. Since the move I have not fully adjusted to the time. Sounds crazy after a couple of months. But I go to bed later than I should and struggle to get up earlier. Hopefully I can kick that feeling but doing this a few days in a row. Now time to get on with my day feeling more energized than usual. .

When I woke up last Friday morning, I scrapped everything I had planned for the entire day. It's totally not like me, because I'm a planner. It's how I'm able to do everything I do, and still have the time and space to spend with Moose, being the parent to him that I strive to be. But the day was going to be beautiful. Finally a little warm, finally some sun. So I chucked my plans into the trash can and away we went. The playground, the library, just sitting and chilling out in the gazebo in front of the library, reading the books we checked out. My favorite part of the day was Pinecone Baseball. Our playground was once part of our towns former elementary school (it's also where we did our wedding photos), so there's an old baseball field, basketball courts, and more. It was so fun teaching Moose to hit the pinecone and make it to first base before momma could catch him with it. The small things. The simple things. Like an old field, a stick, and a pinecone. It was everything I needed for a reset, and recharge. Plus, it didn't hurt that I discovered I can do more non-stop, dead hang pull ups than the last time we were down there 👌🏻
