Its normal to be overweight or obese as an adult according to statistics.

The facts don't lie unfortunately... The percentage of children overweight or obese has increased since I last checked which is scary to think kids are probably growing up with poor relationships with food.

Not to mention the likelihood of being a victim of bullying, lower levels of activity, poor body image and associated health risks later in life such as diabetes, CVD, PCOS, Depression just to name a few

And the financial cost is enormous... and the fact most of us moan about NHS funding when we as a population are costing the NHS £6.1 Billion through poor lifestyle ans nutrition choices.

If you are an obese child you are 20 times more likely to be an obese adult... so these figures and the issue will probably get worse... scary stuff right?

Head movements drill. During a fight we alternate between a phase where we organise the body in space in order to be at an optimal position for the next phase where we strike. When striking, It's a if we are staying on rails. Here we train that particular moment and try to improve our upper body movements, especially head movements, using our arms to keep balance as well as getting comfortable in the pocket.

Тогда, конечно, лучше найти грамотного преподавателя, который будет вести вам индивидуальные тренировки или постоит вам план для самостоятельной практики. Вот на этом этапе и начинается самое интересное, так как йога сейчас невероятно модное занятие, и инструкторов очень много. Но количество – не значит качество. Поэтому выбирая себе преподавателя, не забудьте уточнить, где он учился, обратите внимание, спрашивает ли он о состоянии вашего здоровья. И прекрасно, если найдете, потому что ваш йога-тичер, он как парикмахер, или зубной: безусловное доверие, комфорт, симпатия – на всю жизнь, ну или на половину!)

Got stiff hips? This move may help!

I came up with it while playing in the garden at @chateaudupuitsesprats_, and it felt great.

Let's call it a Spiderman Lunge to Pigeon Pose. The Spiderman Lunge is a fantastic warm-up in it's own right, and in this case I wanted to add more external rotation to the opposing hip flexion and extension.

Dipping into this pigeon pose feels like a great little addition that I think most people could benefit from.

Ive been asked a lot of questions by people about how I go outide and workout every day. Questions such as: what do you do when it snows/rains/you are tired/when you are busy? How do you fit it into your day? .
My answer is: I lace up my shoes and I go.
.
It takes longer for me to think of reasons why I shouldn’t go than it does to just get out there and spend some quality time moving. Ive realized that I always have time for at least a mile. And , I really enjoy running in the elements. It’s an appointment with myself that I NEVER cancel.

A year ago, I would have used any of these reasons not to go. I was always waiting to start next Monday. (Eating healthier, exercising). Napoleon Hill said it best. “Don’t wait...”. It was an endless cycle of waiting to start my fitness journey. And one day, I just made it happen. And I continue to ensure that it happens every day. Sure- some days are difficult, but I never regret going. .

This is what I tell myself right now. I’m not able to do everything I want to or used to be able to do. I’m still trying though. Every time I choose to do a 7 minute workout or take a 5 minute walk IT COUNTS. So last week I was working on loaded carries with kettlebells and want to carry that over to this week to expand our options!!

In these two videos I'm working on an overhead press and sandbag carry. .

The overhead press or snatch grip carry is great to develop upper back strength, improved conditioning and general grip strength!!
.

In the second video I'm using a sandbag for the loaded carry, this particular position is often referred to in training as "Anaconda strength" because of the barrel hug hold. .

Start adding loaded carries to you're training to reap the benefits yourself 😁😁. It's a simple way to improve your body composition as well as maintain basic movement patterns! .
