The report after 1 week is that I have lost 0 kg. Disheartening I know... but I know it takes time before the body gets the hint so I'll stick with it.
I also know that it's not all about the scales, but truth be told, I will still use it as a guideline for where I want to be.
This week I have experimented to see how I feel and what I can and can't do and I have decided to up my daily calorie intake to 1500 per day for 5 days a week but drop it drastically to 500 kcal for 2 of the days. This is what's called the 5:2 diet. The reason I choose this was that a) fasting for long hours everyday can affect your hormonal balance and since I had a baby not that long ago I feel that my body can need a break from the hormonal rollercoaster and b) just doing 1200 kcal per day every day didn't convince me I would reach my goals. The good thing about 5:2 is that it has a lot of other benefits than just weight loss. So, today was my first 500 day and I have to admit it was challenging, but at the end of the day I felt good and actually not too hungry. So fingers crossed I can stick to this and notice some satisfying results.
I'm currently trying to do 3 sessions in the gym per week, all orchestrated by @ignite_wellness 's @rowenasoasis and I'm loving every minute of it!
As of next week I'll be doing 4 sessions per week hopefully: 2 in between school run and office hours and 2 after babies bedtime. I wish I was one of those who would take a couple of water bottles as weights and do the routine at home but nah, no way... Wish me luck on the 5:2.
