Okay, so now that I have successfully finished all the candy and chocolate from the holidays... time to get back to where I left off before the holiday weight gain.... gained a solid 5 lbs. Oops. So back to morning cardio during the week... I also did a few hot yoga classes, not as enjoyable as I remembered, but i realized the following 1. I'm getting old and can't move like I used to. 2. My body needs some major adjusting 3. I need to start stretching more. so my plan....1. Spend the next 10 years in university researching a cure for getting old.... 2. Incorporate @mytstrap into my workouts .... 3. Stretch after my workouts
All of my fitness friends out there,, I tried my friend Sami's invention called #mytstrap. This training device was awesome. (Image on picture is from his site) I have known him for years and it is great to see a friend succeed! There has to be something amazing about the Tstrap when professional sports teams and some of the best trainers in the world use and recommend this. . Get a hold of him to see for yourseves.
Since most people are on a New Years cleanse and workout kick -including me- here is the evolution of the side Lunge. Using the @mytstrap provides upper body Tension while the sliders keep constant tension on the leg that is sliding. This will develop your legs more fully than just doing squats and traditional lunges. @___blancc and @paigezaporzan make it look easy but it definitely is not!! Try this exercise if you want quick results!
Are you struggling with hip or ankle mobility? Having poor mobility in these areas will significantly reduce your ability to develop squat depth and strength. I put @monamoshiri through this squat variation to develop better mobility while working on shoulder and upper back strength.
