While visiting the National Portrait Gallery exhibit “The Sweat of Their Face: Portraying American Workers,” I learned for the first time about the 1930s-19403 artist circle known as the Dallas Nine. This is just in time for a proper trip to Dallas in the near future. #dallasnine#bythesweatoftheirbrow#nationalportraitgallery
Congratulations to Abbie Trayler-Smith for her 2nd prize at the @nationalportraitgallery prestigious Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Competition.
The image shows Sara aboard a bus packed with families as they arrive at Hassansham camp after fleeing the fighting in Mosul and surrounding areas.
Sara is now in Baghdad with her family (and Abbie is in touch with her family). Their home in east Mosul was destroyed in the fighting so they decided to start fresh in the capital.
