Indonesian traditional dish from East Java Province. This dish consists of white rice, boiled vegetables like spinach, beansprouts, cucumber, cassava leaves, papaya leaves, Kemangi leaves, Tolo nuts, sunny side up egg, fried tofu, fried Tempe, fried beef meat, and Rempeyek Udang (Indonesian traditional crackers with shrimps) then all was drizzled with spicy grilled peanut sauce. .
This Pecel Ponorogo is amazing!! The vegetables were fresh and the grilled peanut sauce was very flavorful!! The freshness of the vegetables and the savory flavors from the peanut sauce were also matched so well with the white rice, fried Tempe, tofu and beef meat!!
