While I’ve taken that short train ride across the pond to NYC hundreds of times, today was different. Today, I pretended to be a tourist and took dozens of photos, truly capturing the heart of NYC, its eccentricity, its soul, its diversity... its profound beauty. •
I was welcomed by sassy & loving Puerto Ricans in the Bronx, posed with a cop & happy-go-lucky street vendor in Manhattan, did a little axe hurdling with some friendly folks in Brooklyn, and discussed God and life as I zipped through Queens •
Often times, when we live in a particular area, we become so accustomed to it that we begin to take it for granted. It wasn’t until after moving to a new state that I gained an appreciation for the city that has always been easily accessible to *me*, but which others only dream of one day visiting •
Today, I looked at NYC through a different set of eyes. Today, I fell in love with NYC all over again...
