For these next 9 days I will talk about something more serious than a typical post may be. These post will be talking about mental illness. More specifically it will be talking about depression. Approximately 350 million people suffered from depression, thats 5% of the worldwide population. There are many different kinds of depression and we will be detailing them in the days to come.
Depression is when one looses pleasure from doing daily things. It can affect anyone of any age, gender, or ethnic background. There are solutions for dealing with depression such as therapy or other medical treatments such as anti-depressants. Though there are solutions to this illness, only about 35.3% of people seek help.
Symptoms that you or someone you know may be facing depression:
·Persistant feeling of sadness ·Lost interest in things you/someone you know use to enjoy.
·Speaking negative about oneself.
·May experience anxiety, apathy, general discontent, guilt, hopelessness, mood swings, irritability, or extreme crying.
·Restless sleeping/Excessive sleeping
