Today's training came after tribe time, and is as follows.
deadlifts 2RM 325lb
hit 275, 295, 315, 325, and 330 lb.
Based off of today's performance I will be increasing my TM. Pulls all felt really good, but my grip seemed to be my limiting reagent. And I will not alternate grip on the deadlift. Not that I have any objections than the other methodologies and deadlift. I prefer to stick with just straight up conventional pulls.
Tonight's conditioning came from the mainsite.
18 - 15 - 12 - 9 - 6 - 3
overhead squat (87)
This was of course the scaled version of the mainsite workout. I've been executing my High Reps at 60% of my current TM. Then adjusting relative to all the lower rep schemes based off of my rep Maxes for each specific lift.
The first few rounds of this training session were brutal, and the last few were exhausting. I can feel it happening the strength right out from underneath of me. Again this is another sign my engine needs a lot of work.
Today's strength session wasn't very specific for today's training, but it's been quite some time since I've done the deadlift. I wanted to get a few. It ended up working out because I was able to increase my TM for the lift.
Overall, today was a good day for balancing life and training. And that's what it's all about. Showing a modicum of balance in life is essential. It's the only way you're ever going to have a fulfilling one.
