Our list of available Organic and Artisanal produce is sent out via WhatsApp or email every Monday morning.
NOTE: As our produce is organic, supply may be limited so its best to order as early as possible to be sure of getting all you want.
Order by WhatsApp or email by TUESDAY 2pm (WINELANDS), and WEDNESDAY 2pm (S.PENINSULA). Please indicate where you live please so I can place you on the correct list.
Collection is typically between 3 and 6 pm on Fridays and between 9 and 10 am on Saturdays at one of our collection points.
To receive the weekly list please indicate whether by email or WhatsApp. If WhatsApp, you will need to add 062 416 4172 to your contacts and name it Farmer Brian's and give me your number. Or if by email I will need your email address, send details to firstname.lastname@example.org or to the above number.
Green Tip: If you will be ordering regularly, please bring two bags/boxes with you on your first collection - one to pack your order for this week in and the second to remain with us for the following week so that your order is ready (and return the first bag to us). In this way we will “recycle” the bags and avoid creating more packaging waste
#lunchtime with Rocco. Sweet potato mash, veggies and scrambled egg. My fave eggs from Farmer Brian, never seen such orange organic delicious eggs anywhere else!
We just did this build over the weekend for an awesome family who wanted to put a up so they could have fresh throughout the year.
It’s a 24’ x 36’ Gable 7500 with 10’ sidewalls and dirt floors. He wants to plant dwarf fruit trees on his side and She wants veggies on her side. Yes Please!! He put it against his woods to provide a natural shade through the summer. He said he would cut back anything he needed to but what are your thoughts on this? I could see how in the winter you would get more light and warmth since the leaves won’t be on the trees but what about the summer and need for actual sunlight? He does have UV lights for supplementation but will the energy costs associated outweigh the practicality of the greenhouse? Please! Educate me! I’m all ears!
Farmers market goodies! Delicious crunchy new season apples. I planted some new veges today (some lettuce, 2 caulis, brocollis and cabbages, some pea seeds, and a sweet William flower ). It’s starting to look like quite a pot collection on the balcony now! Was a bit dark to get nice photos so check out my story and I’ll get some goodies at the weekend to pop up here!
