Charcoal Rose Latté? I can’t say I was too sure what health benefits charcoal has to the body other than it’s good for drawing out impurities when applied to skin. But what about ingesting it? So I did a bit of research and apparently it detoxifies the body because toxins and impurities ingested in the last few hours stick to the charcoal thus clearing it out as it moves through the digestive tract. I see now why it’s included in juices at your local juice bar... It’s also marketed that it helps with gas, cholesterol and hangovers... but with further research it seems it also can have a negative effect by drawing away nutrients or beneficial drugs when taking it with food and other supplements. All in all it seems there can be some benefits but only if taken properly and is beneficial only for certain ailments. Would love to hear your experience with it or thoughts if you have any. Ps the latte was delicious if that is any more reason to try it
