Fruit for breakfast.
I have to admit, despite all nutritional studies (I should know...) and scientific evidence pointing to the idea that we should ALWAYS eat #breakfast , that it is THE MOST IMPORTANT meal of the day, I rarely indulge in a morning meal. I generally drink lemon water and then make a smoothie or juice at around noon. I know, I know... I preach health and wellness and yet I skip breakfast. Well, here’s the thing: I’m not hungry in the morning. If I do have breakfast, it’s because I am forcing myself to eat it. And when I do eat breakfast, I am then insatiably hungry for the rest of the day. It’s just me. It’s my biochemistry. And if there’s one cardinal rule that I learned throughout My studies in nutrition- is that we MUST listen to our own bodies. We are each different- our metabolisms are different, our tastebuds, etc... It’s called #biodiversity ... and my body rejects breakfast. That’s all there is to it. Therefore, I listen.
Today, however, I sat down at the breakfast table and was presented with three of my all-time favorite #fruits and guess what? I got hungry.
So this was my colazione:
Wishing everyone a beautiful (and productive) week!!! Happy Monday.
Lots of love,
