@daisyglaisy artist #instatakeover #PenguinSneakPeek
I’ve been dying to share photos of my penguin now that I’m finished, so have a flick through them above for a glimpse of my design. Her name is Fair Isla and she was a lovely thing to work on - half the time I was lying on the floor painting, which was just fine apart from when a pal came in and thought I had collapsed…
I painted her in my kitchen, so there was always someone around watching and chatting…after the anchor, I think folk are used to me painting something big in the house but the cat was a bit freaked out at first .
My design is pretty folk arty and inspired by going to Shetland last year. I’m a big fan of knitwear and if you are familiar with my work, you might recognise the colours I like to use. Hopefully she will be eye-catching whilst on Parade in Dundee! If there are any knitters out there who would like to recreate my design in wool, get in touch!
So, this is my last post for the #meettheartist #instatakeover today. I hope you have enjoyed my posts and thanks to Maggie’s Penguin Parade for having me!
If you want to see more of my work and general shenanigans, follow me at @daisyglaisy on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
Look out for the next instatakeover on Sunday with the very talented @coramantic. Cheerio!
