One of the most important things I've learned over the last 35 trips around the sun is that being yourself is so damn important.
Gosh when I think about how many years I spent playing a role, pretending to be someone that I wasn't, just to fit in and be liked, no wonder I had a serious weed addiction for 14 years straight. I was bloody miserable, and weed made all those yucky feelings disappear. (side note: I actually think weed is amazing - IF it's not abused)
Being authentic means having courage to show the world who you really are. It's about being brave enough to speak your truth, even if others don't agree. It's about not needing anyone else's approval to be who you want to be.
Being authentic isn't easy, it takes a lot to show the world who you really are, but the benefits of being yourself are so worth it! xoxo
