The #festivalofquilts2017 was so fun yesterday! All the beautiful quilts, good shopping and the inspiration everywhere. What makes it truly great though is the people! New friends + old friends, catching up and chatting. I went especially to meet one very special person, Clare @selfsewn. We've 'known' each other online for years. I learnt to epp from her blog, inspired to start by her #rosestarquilt and she always makes the most beautiful quilts. Now I have an incredible mini quilt she kindly made just for me I absolutely adore it, the hand stitching is gorgeous and the fact it has our blog names on it is so perfect! Day 2 prompt for #MarchMeetTheMaker is "favorite to make". I love baking chocolate chip cookies! I love to eat one right off the pan, just as soon as it has cooled enough to handle. I may or may not have a super, top secret recipe that I may or may not be willing to share!
But seriously, I love making quilts and purses and aprons and pillows and...well, I just love to sew! Period. I love choosing a pattern, then choosing the fabric(s), then watching the whole mess come together again. I have been sewing almost as long as I can remember. And that's a long time, because I'm pretty old!

Joining another photo challenge. Why? Because it helps me feel connected to so many amazing people, from all over the world! It reminds me that my little corner of the world is just a very small part of something so much bigger.
Day 1 of #MarchMeetTheMaker is "You", meaning me, of course. I'm Jenny and I am the owner of a small online company, "the shabby trunk". I make handcrafted quilts, bags, aprons, pillows and more, to give away and to sell in my etsy shop. I also design patterns...mostly quilts.
My family is the center of my universe and it's a good thing I like them. Lol. We have six children, thirteen grandchildren (#14 due in June), and we are currently raising three of the grands (ages 2, 5 and 10). Things are always hoppin' around here, so I will probably need to skip a few of the prompts, but I'm looking forward to getting to know @joannehawker and all the other makers! Thanks for letting me play along!
