This warmer weather has had me itching for all the summer foods — burgers, hotdogs, corn on the cob, watermelon — I could go on forever, baby! ➖ We made these salmon burgers c/o @plated over the weekend and snuck them up to our building’s roof for an impromptu picnic. ➖ Shoutout to our super, who gave us a key to get up there. ➖ What can I say? It pays to bake your super things. (I like to make him cookies, cakes, etc. every few months.) A little kindness goes a long way!

These are homemade banana muffins with an instant oatmeal topping ❤️
I make the muffin batter and pour the instant oatmeal right on top of the muffins before baking 😊
The oatmeal I used from @betteroats are steel cut oats with flax seed and a maple brown sugar flavor. Perfect flavor and nutrient addition to my banana muffins🙌🏻
The best part is they taste so amazing!

The Idli Fry! I was literally craving for this type of idli fry here in Ahmedabad but I never got any vendor who prepared this. In Rajkot, we get this masala idli fry at majority street stalls. This can be your breakfast made from left over idli or light dinner. Very easy to make and can be experimented as per your taste. Let some curry leaves, mustard and cumin splutter in oil or butter, add in oinions, garlic, ginger, green chillies and sauté. Add tomatoes and crumbled idlis. Add garam masala of your choice (I used @mtr_foods 's sambhar masala) and #namakswadanusar . Squeeze few drops of lemon and garnish it with spring onion greens (seasonal suggestion). .

MAGIC CACAO CASHEW COOKIES

I am so happy that there are cashews on this planet 😍 I mean they are so versatile and delicious. My favourite nut butter is cashew butter and these little white nuts are just so perfect and delicious ❤️ Here I used them, soaked them and blended them along with oat milk and dates to form a cashew cream for my cookies.
If you want I can share the recipe for the cookies with you but i wasn’t 100% happy so I need to tweak the recipe a little 🙊

If you love everything bagels but not so much the heaviness and carbs- try this awesome gluten free option!
You can top this with cream cheese, lox, avocado, or eggs for a great energy boosting breakfast or lunch.
Everything Bagel Bread
INGREDIENTS
2 cups almond flour
2 tbsp coconut flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 cup flax and chia blend (any kind of flax meal)
4 tbsp everything but the bagel seasoning
5 eggs
1 tbsp coconut oil melted and cooled
1 tbsp honey (I always use local and organic)
1 tsp Apple Cider Vinegar
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 350*F. Grease your loaf pan with coconut oil or use parchment paper in loaf pan. If using parchment paper, spread a small amount of coconut oil on the bottom of the parchment paper so it sticks into your pan.
In medium bowl, combine almond flour, coconut flour, flax, baking soda, and everything bagel seasoning
In large bowl, whisk together eggs, coconut oil (melted and cooled), honey, and apple cider vinegar.
Mix wet ingredients into dry and once it is smooth consistency with no clumps, pour into loaf pan. Drop and release your loaf pan a few times on your countertop to remove any bubbles and even out the batter.
Sprinkle extra seasoning on top (Optional – but makes it look extra delicious!)
Bake in oven at 350* for 25-30 minutes depending on your oven. Use cake tester or large toothpick in the middle of the bread to check when it is done by sticking it all the way in to the bottom and then removing it. When you remove it there should be no wetness.
Keep in air tight container for 5-7 days. I like to keep mine in the fridge and toast it before eating. Freeze up to 3 months.

That Chicken Biryani

I used to be a regular customer of Cafe Arabia. But then other restaurants opened up & I got distracted by the choice

Today I got horribly tempted by Bina's ( @abitwholesomely) biryani post🤦‍♀️So I decided to cheat

It was lunch time already & I had tons to do before leaving for summer break! So I called @kunal_jag & requested him to ready my parcel. I could have used @swiggy like I usually do but I needed to give specific instructions that couldn't go wrong

I needed one of the chicken biryanis to be only of chicken breast meat. Usually restaurants don't take such orders but Kunal always goes out of his way to help. I placed my order with him for two other regular biryanis too.
The food came steaming hot! As promised, one biryani came with only chicken breast meat. The portion size is VERY generous @ ₹ 210/- all inclusive & it is an extremely flavourful & moist biryani with a very good ration of rice to chicken

It comes with Pickled vegetables & raita. The raita could be a little thicker but the rest was outstanding really

I don't know why I forgot ordering from such a gem of a place. There are 4 outlets all over Pune & I ordered from the Seasons Mall outlet

need a quick snack recipe? this mango chia pudding has got ya covered! 🕺🏻simply combine half a cup of mango w 1/2 a cup any type of milk (I used unsweetened almond milk and it came out great, but it'd taste phenomenal w coconut milk too !), 2 tbsp chia seeds and a 1/4 tsp of vanilla extract. mix well. cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight. then enjoy!!! I like to have half as a snack but it also works to have the whole thing as a yummy brekkie. topped mine w @purely_elizabeth cashew coconut granola and bee pollen 🐝💜 off to run some errands!

CALORIES: 184

FIBER: 4g

Ingredients:
(makes {4} 1/4 Cup servings)
🥥 1/2 Cup Unsweetened Shredded Coconut (optional) 🥣 1.5 Cups Rolled Oats
🍭 4 Medjool Dates (pitted)
🍥 1/4 tsp Cinnamon
🍥 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
🥛 3 tbsp Unsweetened Almond Milk
💜 1 tbsp Hemp Hearts (optional)

Put all ingredients in a food processor and pulse till desired consistency. If you like your granola crunchy instead of soft, bake on 375 for a few minutes to desired consistency. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. Enjoy!

Here’s what I did with my okra last night: I sliced them into thin little rounds, tossed with chickpea flour, salt and a splash of water, and shallow fried them in some oil until mad crunchy. What can I do with the #juice pulp which is a great source of fiber and nutrition?
This question came to my mind whenever my partner @mytrainerjosh made cold pressed juice.
Colors of mixed veg pulp is just beautiful and I didn’t want to just throw it away 🍉🍋🥦🥕🥒. We are both trying to be more conscious about what we eat and what we leave on this planet🌎.
So the inspiration came multiple ways and I decided to be creative! :) These falafel are made out of half ground chickpeas, half juice pulp, chopped cilantro, ground flax seeds, a lil bit of flour and salt & pepper.

Ingredients >
🍌5 decidedly dodgy looking Bananas that no-one’s going to brave
🥚 2 Medium Eggs
🍌‘A good slug’ of Chia Seeds (no idea how much…. maybe 4 tablespoons…? maybe less…?)
🍌1 oz Coconut Cane Sugar
🍌‘A smallish slug’ of Vanilla Essence (again, not really sure… 1-2 teaspoons…?)
🍌6 oz room temperature Butter (I remembered to leave it out last night as I knew I wanted make a cake - go me…!!)
🍌6 oz Self-Raising Flour
🍌’A small tip’ (1-2 teaspoons…??) of Baking Powder
🍌
Method
**Before you start: Pre-Heat the oven to 180’c / 350’f**
1. Peel & mash the Bananas
2. Crack the Eggs into the bowl
3. Pour in the Chia Seeds
4. Mix together
5. Weigh and chop up the Butter, then add to the bowl.
6. Weigh out and add the Sugar into the bowl. Mix.
7. Weigh out and add the Flour to the bowl.
8. Add the Baking Powder. Mix.
9. Grease and line the tin.
10. Add the mixture into the tin. And put in the oven.
11. Cook for 35 minutes and check.
12. Cook for another 10 minutes if needed.

woke up HUNGRY so I had this toast. ezekial bread toasted w plain @siggisdairy yogurt (one of the only types of yogurt my stomach can tolerate), lox, avocado and @traderjoes everything but the bagel seasoning 🙌 you guys- this seasoning is a GAME CHANGER. run, don't walk, to TJ's n buy yoself some, it's seriously that good. Now I'm gunna go walk my pug outside, it's beautiful out! ☀️happy almost Friday!!! ✨

I love me some potato wedges! Heck, I love me some sweet potatoes so put them in wedge form and I'm all in! While making potato wedges isn't too difficult, making a good dip to go with it can be! This wedge and dip recipe by @fitfoodieg is a winner for anyone who loves to dip their wedges!

Note: to make vegan friendly, swap out the Greek yogurt for a vegan yogurt. Also, if you're using dairy, make sure it is from a good source (organic when possible)😁!

Who doesn’t love a delicious plate of sweet potato wedges at any time of the day!😋 I’ve taken my sweet potatoes to the next level with the addition of @gustusvitae Kimchi Sea Salt (which is all natural and non-GMO) from @iherb which made the flavor perfect with the delicious added benefits of kimchi! Its great to sprinkle on top of your favorite dish or add into recipes like I did here!🤗👌🏻 Here’s how:
sweet potato wedges:
1 large sweet potato
1 tbsp melted coconut oil
1 tsp @gustusvitae Kimchi Sea Salt
1 tsp crushed red pepper
cilantro avocado sauce:
half an avocado
1/4 cup Greek yogurt
1/2 cup water
1 cup cilantro leaves and stems
1 small clove of garlic
1/2 teaspoon @gustusvitae Kimchi Sea Salt
Toss all ingredients in a bowl until all the sweet potatoes are well coated. Bake at 425 for 30 minutes or until cooked to your desired liking. For the sauce, combine all ingredients in a food processor and blend until completely combined and a smooth consistency is formed. Sponsored by @iHerb! Regram from @nm_meiyee - Veggie burgers with baked potatoes 🌱 Delicious homemade pretzel buns with sweet potato black bean patties. Pretzel buns recipe below 🤗Tag your photos with and we will regram our favourite

Pretzel burger buns
Recipe for the dough makes 8-10buns
4 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups warm water
1 tbsp unrefined sugar
2 tsp active dry yeast
4 tbsp coconut oil
Add sugar, warm water and yeast in a measuring cup, let sit for 5mins until bubbles to form in the cup.
In a stand mixer, add all ingredients and the yeast mixture. Mix on low speed until a rough ball begins to form. Continue to knead on low speed for another 5 mins, or until the dough ball turns smooth. Transfer the dough to a large lightly oiled bowl. Cover and rest for 45 mins, or doubled in size.
Preheat the oven to 180c. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, set aside.
Divide the dough into 8 or 10 equal portions. Roll dough and form a ball. Place the rolls on the baking sheet and allow them to rest for 20 mins, or until they’ve risen again. Meanwhile, bring the 10 cups water to boil in a large pot, add 1/4 cup baking soda, turn the heat down so that no bubbles are breaking the surface. Drop 2-3 buns at a time into the hot water, leaving them for 30 seconds on one side, before flipping them over and leaving them for another 30 seconds. Using a slotted spoon, remove and drain each bun, returning it to the baking sheet.
Brush coconut oil lightly on all of the buns. Immediately sprinkle the top of the buns with sesame. Cut two small slits in the top of each of the buns. Bake for 15mins or until deep golden brown color. Cool before slicing.
