This is my filtration chamber for my 33 gallon cube. It’s a compact All In One design. That white filter pad is changed every 3 days. Keeps the water extremely polished.
I will be doing some major changes in this design and into my setup. I will be increasing the size of the first chamber. Placing and removing bags of chemical media is extremely difficult at the moment. I will also run a Refugium in the first chamber. So increasing the size makes sense. The acrylic parts are already being cut out for me. I will put it together in the next few weeks.
This means my tank is being drained, my rock work placed in a tub of saltwater in pitch black and it will be dosed with Fluconazole. These are my current options and will kill and destroy my algae issues. .
When I put this tank back together it will be Barebottom. I will be doing a mixed reef with plenty of SPS. That means bye bye Pistol shrimp. Not only did you hurt one of my clown fish but you killed plenty of my snails too. I will keep you guys posted
