Today we had a masterclass with @yolandaocon at the award winning @schoolofwok in #london.
With infinite patience and great skill, Yolanda showed us the basics of #Chinesecooking, we made #dumplings 🥟 2 ways, #sichuan #chicken, #friedrice 🍚 and #morningglory which is a lovely herb we’ve never heard of. For me it was a huge treat and joy to learn from a fellow Mexican cook! Since Alex has already mastered the art of #mexican #tortilla making, making dumplings wasn’t *that* hard! #learning #schoolofwok #chinesefood #cookingclass #sunday #foodislife #paisanas

Are you a complete beginner when it comes to cooking? Don't worry, every famous chef was a beginner at one time too which is why we really encourage you to come to one of our cooking classes! They are suitable for chefs of all levels and you'll learn plenty of skills to take home with you!

If we could live off one dessert for the rest of our lives it would be @Saiphinmoore's Mango Sticky Rice. The sticky sweet coconut rich rice with sweet Thai mango is truly mouthwatering. Give her incredible recipe from her book @rosasthaicafe a go this Songkran!

Salty, sweet, spicy and sour. Nuoc cham is the perfect accompaniment to Vietnamese cuisine- and SO easy to make! We sometimes sprinkle rice noodles with this versatile ingredient, add some chicken or tofu and veg and dig in!

Ingredients:-
- Garlic (2-3 cloves)
- Birds eye chilli (we use 1-2 and deseed)
- Fish sauce (2 tablespoons)
- Sugar (2 tablespoons)
- Water (4 tablespoons)
- Lime juice (usually 1 and 1/2 limes are perfect!) We like the ratio of 1 fish sauce: 1 sugar: 2 water (and then double/triple to amount needed!)

{ SCHOOL OF WOK }
.................................
I knew after having our bundle of joy it would be a juggle to balance work/baby/business/money but it helps to have such great clients. @jeremypang_official & his brand manager Korina popped by yesterday for a day working on their new grocery products (a quick cuddle!) and treated us to an @schoolofwok lunch whilst my incredible NCT mum friends entertained little Rowan. Honestly - I think he had the best day ever! I am so incredibly lucky to have met such a fantastic bunch of women, I don’t think I would have survived the last 5months without you!!!

Will be trying this at home in an few weeks and making my own dipping sauces to accompany the dim sum! .

One of the most popular Chinese take away dishes is beef and broccoli, due to those rich, meaty umami flavours. And after a long week, it's what I want to tuck into as well. It is that much more satisfying (and cheaper, and healthier) to be able to make a dish like this yourself at home. Stay tuned to find out how we at @SchoolofWok are about to make this that much more achievable. #watchthisspace
