*Retreat learning points*
I'm so sure that ALL those who attended the retreat had something going on some weight, burden, challenge, pain, hurt, grief, loss, ache and so on that they were trying to cope with.
The key realisation I had was how brave and courageous each person was. Instead of digging a trench or hole and hiding, they took the harder step of commitment to their own health and well-being. They bravely put worries aside and pressures aside to make space for themselves.
Very often we ignore all the signs that shout stop, or slow down and we plough ahead until we crash. Then we ask 'Why did this happen?' The commitment each person showed, the steps they took before and during our time together, plus the shifts they were able to make, I feel are the rewards of courageous decisions and actions. I can't help but be in awe as it takes alot to #moveon when everything screams stay in the dark pit.
I believe the journey of change will continue for them. Why? Because they choose to take forward steps and because the profound, deep and rich teachings they received from @rappingyogi and @chi_kri_yoga will be the blanket they need, the go to, the tool box, the library of knowledge, the vital wisdom that will prove invaluable in the weeks and months ahead. Especially when life hurtles at them and demands come from all directions. Once you get moving, you'll find the desire to keep going, however big or small the steps.
So many people say they want change because they've had enough, but that's all they do, they say it. But these souls, walked the walk, I'm so delighted they did.
