That happy girl is literally the essence of who I am! I’ve always been happy, I’ve always been cheerful, I’ve ALWAYS LOVED MYSELF!!! When I tell persons that I’ve always loved myself it’s always followed by “so if you’ve always loved yourself, why do you want to lose weight?” Let me tell you, that question astonishes me EVERY, SINGLE TIME!!! Somehow, persons feel like if you “love yourself” then you shouldn’t want to change or improve your current situation; which is total BS!! Loving yourself has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with your weight, size, shape, looks or any of our fickle ideals of what’s worthy of love or admiration! Loving yourself is simply having high regard for your OWN well being and happiness! It’s knowing and believing that regardless of how you look, how you dress or how you wear your hair you are worthy of it all!!!!
Let me say this:
-You have to love yourself in order to want to improve!
-You have to love yourself to want to feed your body with the right things!
-You have to love yourself to have the discipline to workout consistently! -You have to love yourself to know you’re heading down a dark path and pull yourself up by saying “self, it’s time to change”!
There are so many aspects to what we call #SelfLove and it all starts with just having a genuine appreciation for YOU!! •
