Decided to smash my shoulders and arms this morning with my bestie! @shellybot1 This is what I did today:
Shoulders 5sets:
➡️upright rows 17.5kg bar x10
➡️shoulder press 17.5kg bar x10
➡️rear delt raise 8kg dumbbells x10
➡️front raise 8kg dumbbells x10
➡️shoulder press 8kg dumbbells x10
➡️plate raise 10kg x10

Arms 3sets:

Double session on 531 program doing shoulders and deadlifts with 5x15 and 5x10 sets in between with drop set after the big 5+ feel a lot better going back to 531 but learnt a lot from @fitplan_app and still will use it. Getting back into it and feeling very good after the session.

Why work so hard in the gym to waste it with a bad diet?! Don't forget diet is key👌.

Last night's shoulder session was a killer.
1) 100 rep warm up with light dumbbells targeting the full delt (lateral, rear and front)

2) Shoulder press (2 warm up sets 15 reps) - 4 working sets heavy 8 - 10reps SUPERSET lateral raises 4 sets 10 reps SUPERSET rear delt flies 4 sets 10 reps

3) Pyramid dumbell lateral raises
- Start light, move 5 weights up and then then same process back down doing each set to failure (no breaks, just shake the arms out if need be). I generally end on the heaviest being 3 reps.

4) Incline bench barbell front raises SUPERSET (chest against the bench) Rear dealt dumbell flies SUPERSET heavy standing 45° lateral raises (2 sec pause) SUPERSET shrugs. 5 rounds in total. I generally take it until failure.

5) Cable upright rows 3 sets 15 reps

6) Seated rear delt pulls SUPERSET lateral raises. This was my final round and finisher. I did this until failure.

So this is odd... But it grinds!
Makeshift parallel press, i used the leg press for this one, knees on the floor, butt on the incline of the bench, keep your elbows flared outward.
Works wonders on the front delt in the positive movement, and kills the rear delt in the negative

Traps and shoulder day! 💪🏼 I’ve been eating a lot and working out almost everyday. Trying to put on muscle mass. Here’s a breakdown of my workout for those who are curious 💁🏻‍♂️ - 1st Exercise: Traps
4 sets 10-12 reps of dumbbell shoulder shrugs and 4 sets 10 reps of smith machine shoulder shrugs. I do a 2 second pause when I shrug and I go slow on my way down so I feel the burn🔥 After you finish your dumbbell shoulder shrugs GO RIGHT INTO smith machine shoulder shrugs. I don’t pause for a very long time with the smith machine but I do go slow on my way down. Rest a minute in between sets. - 2nd Exercise: Rear & anterior deltoids
4 sets 12 reps of cable rope face pull and 4 sets 10 reps of dumbbell shoulder press. I do a 2 second pause when the rope is spread in my face and then I go slow to the starting position. THIS EXERCISE IS ABOUT CONTROL AND REALLY FEELING THE 🔥 After you finish your face pull GO RIGHT INTO shoulder press. Go slow on your way down. Rest a minute in between sets. - 3rd exercise: Rear & anterior/lateral deltoids
4 sets 12 reps of bend over reverse flys and 4 sets 10 reps of front shoulder raises. Make sure your back is parallel to the floor and your elbows are slightly bent. Pause about a second or 2 up top and go down slow. I like use the 5 or 10lbs weight so I can really control it. After you finish the reverse fly GO RIGHT INTO front shoulder raises. Pause a second or 2 up top and go down slow. Rest a minute in between sets. - 4th exercise: Anterior/lateral deltoids
4 sets 10 reps of seated lateral shoulder raises. Elbows are slightly bent through the exercise. Pause for a second then slowly go down. Rest a minute in between sets.

Wünsche allen einen angenehmen Abend 😇
Hier ist ein kurzer Ausschnitt aus meinem gestrigen PushDay 💪🏽Zurzeit trainiere ich seit langem mal wieder nach einem Push/Pull/Beine Prinzip. Hatte keine lust mehr auf meinen alten Upper/Lower Plan und wollte was neues ausprobieren. Obwohl der Upper/Lower auch sehr cool war aber mit der Zeit wurde er dann etwas langweilig. 🙆‍♂️ Trainiere den 3er Split derzeit 5 mal die Woche und bin echt mega zufrieden. Das Wichtigste, wenn man sich einen Trainingssplit aussucht, ist nicht wie effektiv er ist, sondern ob er Spaß macht und ob man ihn konsequent durchziehen kann. Weil stellt euch vor, ihr trainiert den besten Split den es gibt aber er macht euch einfach keinen Spaß. Die Trainingsleistung wird abfallen, man beginnt das Training mit etwas schlechtem zu assoziieren und die Motivation leidet natürlich auch sehr stark darunter. Deswegen ist es unfassbar wichtig, sucht euch einen Split aus, der euch Freude bereitet und welchen ihr dann auch über einen längeren Zeitraum beibehalten könnt. Auch wenn es dann ein 5er Split wird, von dem ich nicht viel halte als Natural Athlet, ist es immer noch besser als ein effektiverer Split, zu dem man sich ins Training zwingen muss. Das Training muss Spaß machen und das sollte die oberste Priorität sein, denn dann kommen die Erfolge von ganz alleine 🙏

Shoulder Pain Rehab (PART 1)

⭐️We're gonna break this Shoulder impingement/ Rotator cuff injury rehab into 3 parts.
.
⭐️First up, working on the complete range of motion with motor control to get back mobility.
.
⭐️Rotator cuff injury occurs usually due to repetitive overload and cause irritation to the shoulder.
.
👉In the first phase of rehab we'll concentrate on getting the load off the shoulder. Starting with simple shoulder movements with assistance (you can use the foam roller) in the first few days after injury.
.
⭐️The progression to follow should be isometric --> eccentric --> dynamic loading.
.
🤜 Progress with the external rotators,, Y-T-Ws, butterfly rows with objects to work on activation and motor control.
.
👉 Lastly, in the first phase also concentration should be given on shoulder stability exercises like ball circles on the wall.
.
🙌 In the next video, we will focus on phase 2 i.e strengthening the shoulder.
.
🔖 Before starting these exercises please consult with a physical therapist to get the pain levels checked and to be sure whether to continue with such exercises. .

STRETCH YOUR LATS!

Are you struggling to achieve your health and fitness goals? Do you look in the mirror and wish to improve your body, flexibility and posture?

🔑As I discussed in my previous post about fixing rounded shoulders, one of the actions of the lats is to internally rotate the arm. This is because, the lats inserts at the front of your humerus, in the intertubercular groove. Any shortening of the lats will therefore cause your upper arm to rotate inward, giving you a hunched forward posture!
.
🔑Side body flexibility is the missing link most people overlook in their flexibility practice.
·
Side bending work's in the Coronal plane of motion and lengthens the side body including the:
✅Intercostal muscles
✅Latissimus Dorsi (Lats)
✅Spinal erectors
✅Quadratus laborum (Lower back)
·
🔑A key to injury prevention is to not leave any stones unturned. Build a resilient body with good posture and mobility by training a wide variety of movements in all of the planes!
·
🔑Give this stretch a try to loosen up those lats. Perform 2 sets of 1 minute on each side.

SIX months post partum, where has the time gone!? .
.
Just a mini update in regards to my training and diet . I've taken the last 3-4 weeks to focus on volume training rather than heavy lifting as such. However today I was back into it. I set myself a goal to lift 100kgs in my deads by the end of the year BUT today I managed to pull 90kgs for reps, pretty stocked considering my recovery from my c section. So I guess tye 100kgs is just around the corner. Deads was followed by 210kgs on the leg press and really felt the burn in my glutes! Finished up with lunges, sumo squats and single leg deads. .
.
Pretty happy with how I'm sitting at the moment. I'm not lean nor am I "bulky" as such. Sitting in a pretty happy place where all the gains will be rolling in. .
.
Had a few gut issues as of late so my coach and I are working on a protocol for recovery. Cals have dropped but has stayed consistent for the last 3 weeks or so. Was eating around 2500cals but breastfeeding was chewing up all my energy. Now I'm eating just over 2200 cals.

So looking forward to being on that WBFF stage when the time is right..
