Members of a drugs gang who smuggled £250,000 of cocaine disguised as coconut milk powder through Manchester Airport have been jailed.

But their racket was uncovered when Border Force officers seized 5kg of cocaine concealed in packets of coconut milk powder found in a suitcase at Manchester Airport in June 2016.
National Crime Agency (NCA) officers identified Roberts, a barber from Birmingham, as the ringleader of the gang.
He was linked to three other cocaine seizures at UK airports, each consisting of between 5kg to 10kg of the drug, some in identical packaging as the first, with others disguised as coffee or soy milk.
Phone records showed Roberts was in contact with Mullings and Ricketts and other members of his network at key times around each importation.
He would mainly communicate with them and pass on instructions using WhatsApp voice notes.
Another member of the gang, Deannia Madden-Walker, was arrested after she attempted to smuggle 5kg of cocaine into Gatwick Airport in September 2016.
