Good posture helps to prevent backache and muscular pain, allows your body to use less energy for daily tasks, helps to decrease wear on joints and prevent arthritis, and increases the flexibility and stress tolerance of your spine. Good posture also makes you look and feel great.
The secret to good posture is maintaining the spine’s natural curves.
When standing: your head, shoulders, hips and ankles should line up.
When sitting: your ear, shoulder and hip should begin line and your buttocks should be at the back of the chair. Sit tall and with your chest lifted.
