1. Perhatikan apakah ada perbedaan tinggi bahu kanan dan kiri pada anak.
2. Lihat punggung anak dari belakang tanpa tertutup baju, perhatikan apakah ada perbedaan antara tulang belikat, serta panggul kanan dan kiri.
3. Minta anak untuk membungkuk dengan posisi tangan seperti meraih jari kaki, kemudian perhatikan dari belakang, apakah ada perbedaan tinggi di punggung anak.

Meskipun belum terbukti menyebabkan skoliosis, beberapa kebiasaan buruk juga dapat memperberat kondisi tulang belakang yang sudah memiliki kecenderungan untuk terkena skoliosis. Beberapa di antaranya adalah:

1. Membawa tas punggung yang terlalu berat. Berat beban yang disarankan maksimal adalah 5 kg atau 5% dari berat badan anak.
2. Tidak duduk dan berdiri dalam postur yang benar dan tegak.
3. Sering menundukkan kepala, misalnya karena terlalu sering bermain gadget atau handphone.

โ€œI took this photo of @byronyoga while on set shooting production stills in Ojai, Ca, last week. The late morning sun was getting high in the sky and the highlights were getting more pronounced. As I moved around the set I noticed a shadowy background that completely faded to black when I exposed for the highlights. I was quickly reminded of my late uncle Diego who introduced me to breathing, meditation and movement at a very young age. Diego was an alcoholic and throughout my young life he would come live with us while he was struggling and sometimes homeless. Becoming somewhat of a second father my spirituality and meditation rituals are directly inspired by him. He was and artist, he was gay, he was an alcoholic and the most beautiful soul Iโ€™ve ever been around in my life.

An interesting find. Not exactly a first edition, but instead a collection of offprints from the Edinburgh Medical and Surgical Journal โ€“ these communications from 1818 and 1819 would serve as the basis for the first textbook on neuropathology, published in 1828 by John Abercrombie.

Using WorldCat and other engines, I have not yet found a similar volume in institutional libraries. It is a strange, slender book, published by the same distributor of the medical journal noted above. The pages do not appear to have been removed from the journals themselves; the pagination is unique to each section, but there is no index nor table of contents.

I havenโ€™t shown this stretch for a while so I thought Iโ€™d repost it. Itโ€™s a nice little leg stretch that is helpful for the back of the legs as well as your straddle. There is some balance and equilibrium that be developed as well. I don't recall what the proper name of this stretch is called so I just call it Thumper because it reminds me of the rabbit in Bambi... I know, I'm kind of a doof.
Anyway, this stretch is helpful for martial arts, Capoeira, acrobatics, dancing and just generally as a good stretch for conditioning.
