REAL TALK — for the past few weeks, I have NOT been exercising like I should because I’ve literally been the most ridiculous, excuse-prone, irresponsible person in the world when it comes to my health, that I - cant - even
Truth is — I’ve been busier (though, in a very good way) than I’ve ever been in my WHOLE entire life. This has required me to adapt, but I haven’t been adapting in a productive way!! Instead, I’ve been making savage food choices AND deciding I don’t have time for the gym. I’ve literally used every excuse in the book — “I’m tired, I’m busy, my shoulders hurt, I don’t have time to cook, I have to do homework, It’s too late to go to the gym ‘cause it’s already 4 pm (like, WHAT?)”
Not only is this stupid (yes, I’m judging myself for it) — it’s a double whammy energy sucker for ANY PERSON and I’M FEELING IT!!! I’m not tired because I’m busy, I’m tired because I’m busy and I haven’t made time for the two most important contributors to every single persons energy level — diet and exercise!! PS: One of the cons to having lived your best diet/exercise life before, is that it sets a higher standard of vitality that you can’t ever forget. So when you stop living it, YOU FEEL IT!!
The good part of this? The old me would have never noticed this cycle that I have a tendency to dip in and out of. Now — I’m much more aware. So when I feel myself about to be taken away by it — I most importantly, don’t beat myself about it anymore. I just take note of why I fell off track and then I put myself in check before it spirals out of control. Each time, I last longer and longer in the healthier decision making process and eventually it will dominate my life entirely. But for now, these are the growing pains I’m currently enduring!! Also, I’m doing the 21-day challenge with @healthyisthenewskinny that starts on Monday. It’s a simple challenge to be physically active for at least 30 minutes each day!! Who wants to join?!
