Antioxidants may help you beat S.A.D disease!
The symptoms of seasonal affective disorder (SAD) are similar to those of normal depression, but they occur repetitively at a particular time of year.
They usually start in the autumn or winter and improve in the spring.
The nature and severity of SAD varies from person to person. Some people just find the condition a bit irritating, while for others it can be severe and have a significant impact on their day-to-day life.

Signs that you may be depressed include:
a persistent low mood
a loss of pleasure or interest in normal everyday activities
feeling irritable
feelings of despair, guilt and worthlessness
low self-esteem
tearfulness
feeling stressed or anxious
a reduced sex drive
becoming less sociable
A small number of people will experience these symptoms in phases that are separated by "manic" periods where they feel happy, energetic and much more sociable.

Baby J and I came down with a summertime cold. No matter what the season, a cold is not fun!

The last couple weeks before summer vacation had me😜running around like crazy, and my anxiety was kicking my butt. I got out of routine, was consuming too much junk and not running like i had been in the weeks prior. Last week I cut out all sugar, knowing I needed to prioritize my wellness again and find my new summer routine!
After a week of no sugar I feel so much better, my anxiety is leveling out and I started this morning off with a run! Increasing my water intake as well! Post 2 Essential oils & Fitness Lunchtime Series: Essential Oils for Pre & post workout

Each essential oil has a unique set of chemical properties that give the oil a distinct aroma, specific benefits, and makes it useful for certain tasks. When it comes to using essential oils for fitness, the most useful oils will be ones with warming, cooling, uplifting, or calming properties.
In today’s post we will be talking about Warming & Cooling Essential oils

Essential oils with warming or cooling properties can be helpful both before and after exercise because they can provide a soothing sensation to the skin and other areas of the body. For example, by topically massaging warming oils into the skin during your warm up, you can help loosen the muscles and prepare them for movement.
When you are done exercising, applying cooling oils to areas like the legs, feet, and back can help soothe the body.
Both warming and cooling oils are useful during a warm up or a cool down, and can be helpful for things like stretching and massage.
Examples of essential oils with warming properties include:
- Black Pepper;
- Cassia;
- Cinnamon Bark;
- Clove;
- Frankincense; - Wintergreen or;
- my favourite doTERRA’s proprietary blend, Ice (Deep) Blue (oil or rub) which I use pre and post workout.

Examples of essential oils with cooling properties include:
- Basil;
- Cardamom; and - Peppermint.
