In den letzten Monaten war ich furchtbar gestresst. Ein Monat lang habe ich sogar das Training ausgelassen, weil ich oft so lang arbeiten musste und danach noch für meine eigene Firma was tun wollte. Das gelang mir fast nie, denn der Kopf war so voll und ich war so unruhig, Produktiviät war gleich null. Ich war voll im Stress-Strudel, der jede Kreativität hemmt. Jetzt ist es ruhiger geworden seit 2 Wochen und ich ging trotzdem nicht zum Training. Erst diesen Montag zwang ich mich förmlich hinzugehen. Und was soll ich sagen? Es war magisch! Ich kam nach dem Training nach Hause, duschte, legte mich nur kurz auf die Couch und arbeitete dann drei Stunden. Ich will damit sagen: Manchmal ist #disziplin notwendig, um die Dinge wieder in Gang zu bringen. @fuckbeauty2018 schrieb auch gerade erst, wie wichtig es ist, dass wir mit unserem #körper unserer #seele Gutes tun. Es sollte aber auch okay sein, phasenweise nicht diszipliniert zu sein, weil man es einfach nicht schafft! Ich habe in der stressigen Zeit täglich Pizza und Schokolade (richtiggehend) binge-gefressen, und mir fast meine Finger blutig gekaut, weil ich nicht anders damit umgehen konnte! Und: auch wer depressiv ist, dem ist ganz und gar nicht geholfen, wenn man ihm/ihr sagt: "Ach, sei doch etwas disziplinierter!" Vom Umgang der Gesellschaft mit Übergewichtigen will ich gar nicht anfangen. Wenn, muss der Antrieb aus einem/r selbst kommen und nicht von naseweisen Personen aus dem Umfeld. Wie ist das bei euch? Seid ihr diszipliniert? Zwingt ihr euch auch mal dazu?

This is my one year old cocker spaniel, Charlie. There is nothing quite like a dog to help you realise the joy of being and living in the present moment.
Psychologists have found that petting a dog lowers blood pressure, relaxes breathing and reduces muscle tension.

A study in the Journal of Psychosomatic Medicine found that petting a dog also reduced the amounts of stress related hormones in the human body.
These positive psychological effects are said to work faster than many drugs taken for stress since all of these positive effects occur after only 5-24 mins of interacting with the dog. (See Psychology Today for more on this). Walking your dog will result in improved physical and mental health.
If you don't or can't home a dog, offer to walk one for a neighbour or friend. Not only will you reap the health benefits but you will be giving back to others. Win win.

💫 De snelste weg naar meer ontspanning is de adem

Check even bij jezelf. Waar is de adem nu in het lichaam? De meeste mensen ademen oppervlakkig, hoog in het lichaam en vaak ook snel. Het gevolg is dat er geen optimale inname van zuurstof plaatsvindt. Hierdoor word je sneller moe.

Bovendien lijkt deze oppervlakkige ademhaling op de ademhaling die we in stresssituaties ervaren. Je hersenen maken daardoor ongemerkt adrenaline aan, ook als er geen directe aanleiding voor stress is.

Het is daarom belangrijk om door de dag heen je ademhaling te checken. Waar is de adem nu? En als je oppervlakkig ademt, neem dan de tijd om even helemaal bij jezelf naar binnen te keren en vanuit rust je adem te verdiepen.

Dat kun je op deze manier doen:

⭐️ Laat de buik los
⭐️ Laat de kaken en wangen hangen ⭐️ Adem in
⭐️ Adem rustig helemaal uit tot het uiterste puntje van de adem
⭐️ Merk op hoe de adem vanzelf weer terug het lichaam in stroomt. Je hoeft er niets voor te doen
⭐️ Herhaal dit drie tot vijf keer en merk op hoe de adem steeds dieper in het lichaam komt.

Overthinking makes a mess out of a person. At one stage, you think you are all fine, but the very next day, your progress slashes down to zero. One thing I have personally experienced a zillion times & have come to realize the reperucssions of is the lack of motivation & self-esteem that arise when you overthink.
.
Even in personal life, when you ruminate, you tend to start thinking of yourself as a failure. The professional or study life might be a completely different case, because there you start feeling inadequate, & incapable of doing anything major & go all judgemental on yourself. So, what should we do to stop overanalyzing things & actually start working on them without jumping to conclusions?
.
Our struggles are not a light switch; you can’t just turn them off. Whenever you set out to do something, make sure you are giving yourself enough time & a fair chance before you expect to get any result, let alone a positive one. .

Hoping, expecting & overthinking that once you are done with something you are going to get a positive result instantly can hold you back from the real progress. This ends up in lowering your self-esteem, which makes you beat yourself over nothing. .

You need to realize that journey begins with the first step, which is generally the hardest to take. Once you take it, stick to it, and try again & again. Give yourself the liberty to fail. Those who try, try, try and stay steadfast are the actual winners. The end result might be not what you expect, but it is the result of sheer hard work.

There is nothing wrong with you! Give yourself some space, time & the energy to change and do! Procrastinate, but don’t let it change your life! Think, but don’t overthink!

I don’t feel like writing any motivational stuff today, because I am brain dead. 😃 Sorry to all those who message me just to ask when I’ll be uploading the next post! .

So, where were we? I get distracted so easily. Lol. Yes, we were talking about breaking the floors, and by that I mean dance workouts. I have recently started doing Zumba with sisters at home, and it is such an enjoyable experience. You not only feel super-active, but it is fun to dance like a maniac with sisters too. In case, you are a person like me, who doesn’t like the usual workouts including the squats and stuff, Zumba is for you darlings! You can find the videos easily over the internet. Not just this, but you should do 1 mile ‘Leslie Walk’ daily if you are doing a desk job. It keeps you fresh & fit, and in shape. .
.
Not just the body, but your mind needs shaping as well. When stress and everyday anxiety gets way too much, do yoga and meditation. As above, you can easily find anti-stress yoga on YouTube. It really helps eliminate toxins out of your mind, and removes the dump and baggage that you carry along. My favourite is ‘Yoga With Adriene’ on YouTube, as it really helps me get through depressive episodes. .

We all look after physical health, but mental health is as important, so make yoga and meditation a part of your routine. Pair together with a sister or friend, and have some fun too. We laugh like crazies on stupid postures and moves, and that is what makes exercise interesting and releases every day stress too. That’s enough for today! But, I just remember, some daily-use apps and portals that help increase productivity, peace and mindfulness. That all, I will tell you in some other post. Till then, take care and lots of love! ❤️
