I’ve been wanting to write about finding spaces for yourself. Spaces that you feel open, welcome, and are able to focus or recuperate. I asked you guys where you prefer studying- your rooms or outside in the library/cafe. The truth is there is no right or wrong way or place to study- it is where and what works for YOU. However one thing that strikes me is that a change of scenery, a change of pace helps clear my mind, makes me feel productive, and pushes me to finish the task on hand.
Sometimes I’ll step out and go for a walk, or run a silly errand, or meet a friend for a quick coffee. It’ll give me enough of a break that isn’t in the same zone of studying to enable me to come back feeling fresher than usual!
I took this photo near Canada Place in Vancouver, part of my mini trip The view was stunning- and even though I was essentially frozen, there’s no place I had rather be. I felt centered, and I felt calm. I wasn’t thinking about my next steps (literally forgot about Step2)Which says a lot for how a change of pace can affect you so quickly.
How do you guys avoid burnout?
