Do you pay too much attention to the scales?
In this photo, my weight was only down 1.2kg but my jeans were falling off me.
How did I do it?
1. I stopped saying it was too cold, too early, I’m too tired, and I got up and went for a brisk walk before breakfast first thing in the morning with green tea extract and acetyl l-carnitine to assist my body to burn fat. I really wanted to drop a few kilos so I JUST F’ING DID IT!
2. I trained like a man possessed to build muscle and increase my metabolism so that whether I was sitting on the couch or exercising, my body was burning more energy just sustaining itself.
3. I was organized with my food and fluids. I made sure I had healthy food options with me, so that I wasn’t tempted to make fast food decisions. I didn’t have crap food or alcohol in the house.
This is nothing you can’t do as well, right?! But more importantly, how do I still look like this 5 years after this photo was taken?
It all comes down to living a healthy, active, family friendly lifestyle of good food and daily physical activity.
Maintaining/building muscle. Increasing incidental and organized exercise. Teaching yourself to feel empowered for making healthy choices, instead of deprived.
It’s not easy to be lean, strong and healthy inside and out.
It is simple!
