In northern ca we truck in a lot of feed so we try to cut that cost and trucking with growing some of our own feed such as silage, grass hay and haylage . As well as pasturing our cows. We use the reclaimed waste water from the city of Santa Rosa to irrigate the fields. It’s full circle sustainability.

Até o @McDonalds está revendo o uso dos canudos plásticos!
A rede de lanchonetes vai substituir os canudos de plástico por canudos de papel em todos os seus restaurantes no Reino Unido e Irlanda a partir de setembro.
Dessa maneira, o @McDonalds se une a mais de 40 companhias no Reino Unido que fizeram um acordo com o governo britânico, que tem como objetivo reduzir nos próximos sete anos a poluição provocada pelo consumo de plástico.
São utilizados 1,8 milhão de canudos por dia no Reino Unido pela rede, e foram os consumidores que pediram uma mudança no serviço, para que se adaptasse a essa corrente de conscientização ambiental.
Por enquanto, a medida não será aplicada no resto de países nos quais a rede tem restaurantes - 199, segundo dados de 2013 -, mas serão realizados testes em restaurantes dos Estados Unidos, França e Noruega.
Esperamos que cada vez mais grandes redes de restaurantes adotem os canudos de papel!
