“I’m a Canadian living in Portugal, and a part-time online English teacher at DaDaABC and I love it! I found out about DaDaABC on LinkedIn when I was searching for a part-time job to keep my head busy when I’m not at my day job and to get some extra income to go on holidays with my family. Infertility can be a bummer, so I need to keep busy. I just thought that if I keep my thoughts occupied with happy things, I’ll have less time to think about the sadder things. So, I wanted something to do with English teaching, little did I know that I was about to become an online teacher and work from the comfort of my home. Sometimes I’ll even have my pajama pants on.
At first, I was kind of skeptical. I applied online. Got an interview，went on to the mentor session, and got a contract. And seriously can’t point out a con up until now. It’s a dream job. I love every second of it: the kids are great, the parents are funny, and I can’t get enough of them. I only work weekend mornings while my family is just in the other room, it’s just very comfortable as you can imagine. The Facebook groups are very helpful. You can exchange ideas with other teachers and share your experiences and concerns there. If you want to join this amazing team, you’ll need to love kids, be professional, get yourself some props to make classes fun, prepare a classroom in your home and you’ll be good to go. It’s an awesome job, and that’s why I’m so grateful.” - DaDaABC Teacher Jenny
