The Prophet Presents "Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay" by Sam Liu
Yep, this is EXACTLY what the live action movie should've been. For quite awhile now "Batman: Assault on Arkham" has been one of my very favorite animated films, which featured out favorite squad of villains. While, as most things, there is a disturbing lack of Batman in the DC animated film, the squad is portrayed perfectly. Brutal, violent, and comical, this is the Suicide Squad the masses should be introduced to. Lots of DC comic goodness to go around, including some really cool Doctor Fate stuff, and even some pretty serious philosophical discussions are had between the squad that really show how these animated films can have layers. Christian Slater as Deadshot and Billy Brown as Bronze Tiger are phenomenal. In fact, I'm holding them up there with Conroy and Hamill as the perfect voice actors for their respected characters. Was pleasantly suoired throughout the entire film and am very happy I picked it up as there are quite a few DC animated films I'm not entirely fond of. As always with comic book films, there is a number of cheesy writing decisions and Harley Quinn is as annoying as ever, though that may be a personal thing because I really just want her to be a homicidal maniac. All in all, fun, adult, animated fun of you dig comic book flicks. 7/10.
