Christian Dior Exhibition @romtoronto The Royal Ontario Museum. It was a fashionista’s dream come true to look at these works of art up close. The way he tailored these dresses really accentuates the female figure. I really feel like no one does drapery like he did. The amount of detail from the choice of fabric, color, and different-sized crystals for embroidery, to how he cut one single piece of cloth to create a soft shoulder and sleeves on the bias, and how he cut 33 strips and then inserted 66 panels to create fullness on the skirt...Can’t describe his brilliance fully. He was way ahead of everyone in terms of creating pockets on an evening gown ok? I wanted to try all the dresses on so bad! .
