The primal question is: Who am I? The quest for purpose asks: What am I doing here? In exploring the four pillars of JSM, I give you the four tenets, a scientific process for extracting information from the absolute depths of our being: .
1. Applied Science- by looking deeply into our cells, how they organize and interact, the body offers clues as to how we must safely sustain and maintain ourselves. We must individuate our approach to optimal experience, for we are each constitutionally unique.
2. Structured Experimentation- Set a time limit (40 days to 3 months) to try specific practices and training programs based on the organizing principles of periodization, and the basic sciences.
3. Daily Practice- We know if a thing works through consistent application. Showing up day after day, ready to go, with as cheerful an attitude as possible, reforms our character. Masters are made in the flames of effort.
4. Listening for Feedback- is crucial for sifting through “what works, what must be discarded, and how to add that which is our own.” Feedback from our structured experiments allows us to constantly adapt and refine our process for leading a meaningful life, full of personal achievements and service to humankind. .
There You go! Along with the Four Pillars, the four tenets form a super rational and scientific, 8 limbed path to self awareness, for the modern world.
