Softball is so much more than a game. Today one of my pitchers was able to throw a game and be successful. A prior experience caused her to stop believing in herself for a short period of time. Today she made a big step back towards believing in her ability to overcome her fears and move forward. I am so proud of her and how much she has grown in a short period of time. A team that stands behind you when you are working through something are the best kind of teammates! When we think of fitness we tend to automatically think "of the body". But what about fitness "of the mind"? Can you measure someone's "heart" or desire to win? Does mental practice or practicing the lifts in your mind have a positive effect on performance?
I'm sure that if you're a #Crossfit athlete or #olympicweightlifter you've thought twice or bailed on a lift you felt you couldn't do - mentally.
