Let me just talk about how your life can change just like that. Next month June, will mark a year since I started my journey to an amazing me. I was 242.2 pounds, a size 16-18 and crying out for help. I didn't look at myself in the mirror naked during my weight gain. I would get dressed then see how I looked. So when I took my day 1 photos I didn't believe it was me. Only one store in the mall fit me until it couldn't no more. I couldn't walk for a minute without being out of breath. My thighs would burn! I stop wearing jeans, I didn't wear sweaters because it added weight. I was depressed but to the world I wasn't. I walked with my head held high with a smile but inside I was broken. I would wake up with food on my bed because I fell asleep eating it. I was an emotional eater. But my transformation changed my entire life. I started attracting all the right things. I began to have a closer relationship with God. Multiple opportunities to be on national television. A social media influencer with over 130,000 followers. All within a year, I just seen a major shift in my life. God has been so great to me. Thanks everyone for your support, kind messages and words of encouragement. I love every single one of you.

The evolution of the hallway... The walls were uneven where the @nest_thermostat had been installed, the ceiling was old school stippled and there was only one light for a long hallway that reaches round the stairs into a cupboard so we decided we would rip down the ceiling to put spotlights in and get it replastered! This is the progress so far the plastering should be finished in there today ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿผ! .

A few people have asked me what I changed from last year to this year for comp prep so here are a few things I did differently ๐Ÿ’ฏโฃโฃ

1๏ธโƒฃ I stuck to my macros WAY more than last year. Of course I had some โ€œslip upsโ€ in the 11 weeks including during peak week ๐Ÿ˜ง Oops! But I was much better mentally this year with my prep! โ˜บ๏ธ I was also more kind to myself if I did slip up in order to limit my stress levels.โฃโฃ
2๏ธโƒฃ Fortnightly trips and then weekly trips (nearer to comp) to Paul at @thecorrectiveclinicphysio to help give back to my body ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿฝ We worked on core strength, posture and releasing any knots I had to ensure that I was maximising training and recovery ๐Ÿ˜„ Along with my @EHPlabs & @BePureBenWarren supps right up until comp day! โ™ฅ๏ธ โฃโฃ
3๏ธโƒฃ I had @EmmaDillonWBFFPro as my coach for nutrition and training for comp prep as well as pre comp prep ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฝ I did a total of about 6-8 months with her ๐Ÿ˜โฃโฃ
4๏ธโƒฃ I had posing coaching sessions via Skype with @Fit_Nae in the last 4 weeks leading up to comp instead of just watching videos online ๐Ÿ˜… I had much more confidence and sass on stage this year, I LOVED IT ๐ŸŒŸ โฃโฃ
5๏ธโƒฃ MACK Booty Bands helped me shape the ๐Ÿ‘ along with some tough hamstring & booty workouts with @MattForemanFitness who helped me take sessions to the next level even when I was tired & super sore ๐Ÿ”ฅ โฃโฃ

This is quite a hard one for me to post. As you know I don't really like showing much skin (before or after) on insta. But I thought it's only fair people see what happens to your body when you lose this weight. Despite working out 5-6 times a week, every week for over a year. Despite being still pretty young. Despite having elastic Asian skin ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚. I still have loose skin. A lot of it. As you can see from my zoidberg flaps down the side of my back. My back progress has come really far and I'm super proud of all my hard work showing finally as opposed to being hidden by layers of fat. I've stalled recently, not sure why - probably a number of reasons, but my body is still changing and becoming more lean - so I'm happy, as ultimately I have no clue what my goal weight is and I'm just happy I can do all the things I couldn't do before. I really love doing "simple" makeup, cause it's much harder to transform your face when you have to keep it looking "natural" so it really pushes me to study features more and learn more techniques to manipulate my face with just basic makeup! .

Makeup looks like Jack Sparrow, Edward scissorhands and widowmaker, are actually easier to pull off than stuff like this, because you have more dramatic stuff to disguise your face and hide it behind! .

Also I posted this pic to patreon that day over 3 weeks ago and just now publicly! lol
Just yesterday I actually realized I've posted about 16 times publicly to social media since my patreon launch 2 months ago, & posted around 80 times on patreon! xD .

The crazy thing is I'm not ever posting less publicly, and the quality of my content has gone up. I just have more freedom to post whatever I want, whenever I want to patreon without worrying about algorithm / reach / etc.. .

A lot of people also aren't aware you can FOLLOW creators for free on there without pledging, and see all their public post! I even post more publicly on their than sm cause it's easier to keep things in 1 place! lol .

Sorry if you're sick of me mentioning patreon for some reason! ๐Ÿ˜… It's getting close to the end of the month and you'd have to pledge before April to be able to see new April content + most past content so I like to let people know!

The busier I get with my schedule, the easier it is to come up with all sorts of excuses not to take care of myself. When I see my husband get up at 5am to go to the gym, I just jump out of bed! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚Say my prayers, snooze some more and face my workout and I'm done before Bryan wakes up at 7am. You can come up with a million and one reasons why you don't want to look good, stay healthy or lose weight but none beats staying committed. Every little drop of sweat counts and you don't have to spend 10 hours at the gym to lose weight or stay fit. If it's 25mins you can set apart every day, do it and remain committed to that goal, you'll see results with patience and of course eating clean.

This yearโ€™s mini-bulk on the left vs. last yearโ€™s cut on the right. I say mini-bulk because, as you may recall, some setbacks threw off my training and eating... and itโ€™s time to get shready for summer!
Regardless, bar was set last year and I intend to best it with more strength and flexibility to show for it! What about you? How are your goals progressing?

This post is more personal than hair related but today is โ€œTransformation Tuesday.โ€ (Featuring one of my cute nieces, baby Claire.) In the left photo, meet Tori from 2014. She was on a lot of medication and was not her best self. She hid in her fiancรฉs room, was generally sad, had fast food brought to her everyday, and had no clue where she wanted to go in life. She probably would had never imagined being the person on the right. (Excuse my soggy hair I went hiking in the rain today.) In 2017, when I decided to start my weight loss journey I didnโ€™t think it would turn out being this giant journey in general. It became more than just losing weight. It became bettering my mental health, figuring out long term goals, and forcing myself to actually go for the things that might scare me. Yeah, Iโ€™m super proud of the 50lbs that I lost but Iโ€™m much more proud of the self discovery that happened along the way. My journey is not over and I wish I could had told 2014 me a lot sooner to not give up. Never give up. There are amazing things waiting for you.

#TRANSFORMATIONTUESDAY
June 4th of last year to late May this year, ie. a few days ago. I was around 260/270 when these pictures were taken, and remember I started at 303 so I was even bigger than this at one point. I just figured Iโ€™d do about a 12 month difference for perspective. Iโ€™m teetering between 220-225 right now.
Also, I havenโ€™t really posted a lot this past month. I wanted to do a post I guess to let everyone that follows know kind of whatโ€™s been up. I had a crappy month, Iโ€™ve been sick twice, each time it took about a week to get over. Once an awful stomach bug that was going around, once an infection type thing, not really sure what it was but it hurt to swallow and the glands in my throat were really swollen so I had to chill out and take some antibiotics. Also, I hurt my ankle and itโ€™s still not the same. I didnโ€™t really work out for about 3-4 weeks, I went to the gym maybe three times and I just was not up for it but I started working out again as often as I normally would last Monday, just with an ankle brace and a little easier on my legs. Anyways, I havenโ€™t gained any weight back but I havenโ€™t really lost any either. Iโ€™ve been really frustrated with being unable to do cardio for so long. All of it put me in a really bad mood but Iโ€™m finally getting over it and though Iโ€™m not at 100% Iโ€™m at least doing what I can and feeling better and more happy and at peace. Trying hard to break through this wall and push hard to get these next 20 lbs off so I can finally say Iโ€™m down 100 lbs.
