Hi, I’m Yvette and I’m the woman behind @innerflow_wellness. I thought it may be time to introduce myself. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I truly appreciate all your ’s, shares, and comments. Instagram has been a practice in self-expression, stepping into my knowing while balancing boundaries with vulnerability. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’m a hard one to nail down and define. My interests are vast. I am fascinated by healing in all its various forms. Talk. Movement. Nature. Spirituality. Oh, and I typically prefer non-conventional paths. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I get super excited about how our nervous system, brain, movement, and relational engagement can create strength & freedom, help trauma symptoms, and build resiliency.
I have a bit of a book obsession. I will not apologize.
I came to be a counsellor after a decade long career in the wellness industry, both as a practitioner and a manager. I have elephants to thank for my decision to be a counsellor. (A story for another time). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’ve been in private practice since 11/11/11. No joke. And after my first ever session, I got to my car and the time was 11:11am. You can’t make up that kind of synchronicity.
I’m not going to go through my credentials because really therapy of any kind is based in relationship and my education, as fun and explorative as it has been, does not sum me up as a person. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Right now, I’m practicing playing and being silly more often. I’ve found that when I take myself too seriously it’s not beneficial for my mental health.
