We saw a shipwreck!
Last week we were special guests of @travelastoriawarrenton. We stayed in our first yurt, and saw our first shipwreck in person, at Fort Stevens State Park in Oregon. Both were pretty cool. Unlike some "shipwrecks", this wasn't just pieces of metal on the beach. You can actually tell it was a ship (swipe to see).
This shipwreck is the Peter Iredale and It's 111 years old! It was a four-masted steel barque sailing vessel that ran ashore October 25, 1906 en route to the Columbia River. Everyone on board - 27 crewmembers and 2 stowaways - survived.
What's the coolest thing you've ever seen at the beach or on a hike?
