Cheese festival in georgia 2018
Organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Georgian Cheese makers Guild, an annual cheese festival was held at exhibition center Expo Georgia.
There were over 60 types of cheese from all regions of Georgia. The types included cheeses such as dambalkhacho, muchli, gouda, chechili, chogi, tenili, narchvi, lagujishi, sulguni, berkeizi, beshumuri, chachamodebuli, as well as cheeses dipped in wine and honey along with many others. The visitors had an opportunity to taste both traditional Georgian cheeses, prepared by ancient recipes,
as well as a variety of European cheese brands produced in Georgia.
Magazine Gemrieli was in charge of making sure all visitors received a warm welcome. A senior chef was invited to the event, making light bites and hot wine punch for the guests.
