Tonight’s supper is really simple. Two handmade burger patties seasoned with garlic powder and chili powder, grilled to medium-well, avocado and tomato on top with a side of asparagus that I cooked on the stove with some olive oil, salt and pepper. SO delicious and refreshing! #veggies#burgers#grilling
Here’s a challenge for you ... start incorporating veggies for breakfast! (Those of you who have gone through the #Fab14 already are very familiar with this concept... every bucket, every meal, right?!) I know I know, veggies for breakfast may not be the norm for a lot of us, but why not? After a natural fast through sleep, the body may need to replenish these vital vitamins and minerals. It can be the perfect opportunity to refuel!
Two easy ways to include vegetables at breakfast are in an omelet (pictured) or a green smoothie.
Today I wanted to talk about my Beachbody journey so far and to talk about why I started it.
You may wonder why I started...here it goes and it gets raw. I never was an emotional eater as a kid but that changed as an adult. When I was pregnant with my first daughter Audrey I was in a bank robbery where I was held at gunpoint. From that moment on, food became my friend. I was at home on medical leave prior to her birth and I used food to console me. Audrey came and my one year maternity leave began. We did lots but I also ate lots. We moved from the Lower Mainland to Prince George where I became pregnant with my second daughter Emma who came at 31 weeks. She was placed on a breathing machine and had many tubes, iv lines etc. The NICU where I lived with her for over 2 months was a very scary place. Again, more eating…. Fast forward to 2018 . My daughters are 9 and 11. I am still an emotional eater. I will be 40 in January and I want to do more for myself and my girls. So I have decided to join Beachbody to use their products and programs and to share them with others as well! They have one called 2B Mindset. It's all nutritional based.
I did something to my back last month but that hasn't stopped me in my health and wellness journey. Beachbody has so many programs that there is something for everyone.

Hello martes!!! Dia 23 raw . Ayer vi está ensalada mediterránea raw en @rawvanafam y dije: tengo que hacerla mañana . Lechuga, pepino, tomate, cebolla y aceituna. Con un aderezo de aguacate con limón y una pizca de sal. No soy de echarle sal a las ensaladas. Me gusta sentir el sabor de cada verdura. Ah! Lleva chile en polvo, pero como sabrán que soy coyona para el chile jeje. Y también garbanzos, pero no le agregué por lo raw. Pero esta riquísima!! Este es el tipo de ensaladas que se debe de preparar en los restaurantes normales. Y no porque sea coda en comprarme una ensalada en restaurant, sino que hacen una ensalada tan sencilla, muy chica y con un precio tan elevado, que la verdad me deja con cara de what!! . Y porque me ha tocado en varias ocasiones comerlas. Se aprovechan muchos lugares para hacer eso y más porque hay gente vegana que sabe que las pagarían. Crecerá la demanda del veganismo y veré más opciones a donde ir a comer rico y accesible. Y donde valga la pena llevar a mi esposo a que coma también él rico (Porque él no es vegano pero sí quisiera algo vegano y rico ).
