APRICOT OAT SQUARES .
SUGAR FREE DAIRY FREE EGG FREE
These are a variation my “Raspberry Oat Bars”. Oscar just can’t get enough apricots just now (Lidl are selling punnets of them and they are SO good), so I thought I would try making these with dried apricots.
Only 4 ingredients needed, which are:
100g oats, 60g almond butter, 140g blitzed dates, a handful of apricots chopped into thin strips. Mix all ingredients together leaving aside some of the chopped apricot strips to place on the top, grease a baking tray and pat the mixture down. Bake for 15 minutes (max) at 180’C.
Day 130:365 Scrambled eggs and spinach. I’m loving the weaning journey with Popster. Scrambled eggs are such a hit and the Woofers always end up the winners. #weaning#8monthsold#scrambledeggs

After a crazy busy week working with new clients here and further afield, this is exactly how I feel!
Each of the families I work with are unique in their approach, their family dynamics and the issues that present most difficulty for them.
However every now and then there is a theme that runs through the clients that I am currently working with.
This week there was a lot of focus on weaning off night feeds, whether it is one/ two feeds or drip feeding through the night, and when your little one is hanging on to this longer than needed, some guidance can be very helpful.
So with that in mind, I will post a little later my tips for weaning off the night feeds and getting you all one step closer to a full night's sleep
I am not a yummy mummy. I am not a slummy mummy. I sometimes take shortcuts. And one of the things I don’t have the time or energy (or space in the freezer actually) to do is make my own purees for weaning. Thanks to @ellaskitchenuk I don’t have to. And there’s a lot less food waste as a result. Now don’t get me wrong, I love cooking. It’s great but cooking for babies and toddlers is often thankless. Freyja seems to love these purees though which is great and soon she’ll be eating my cooking. Which sometimes might even be instaworthy! #otherthingstodo#pickyourbattles#ellaskitchen#weaning#babylife#babiesofinstagram#firsttastes#veggies#fruit
I love this post by Suzanne @nomnomkids You have to do what works for you when feeding you baby/toddler but look at the color difference here! If you are busy/work/have little help try making or blending food at night or on the weekends or any chance you can and freezing in nom nom reusable pouches. You can make large quantities once and have food for days! It’s so easy and tastes so much better! Thanks Suzanne for this great post: #Repost@nomnomkids with @get_repost
Why is home cooking better than shop bought?
For me it all about eating real flavours and textures. I don’t mind if its puréed, raw or cooked. Everything tastes better and is better for us if it’s fresh (or fresh out of the freezer) without any added stabilisers, additives or processing other than cooking! This Ella’s Kitchen pea purée always looks so unappealing where the homemade version is bursting with flavour and colour. It also took so little time to steam & blitz. So it’s not whole peas. But the flavour is there and they are delicious with a little mint blended in. Spread it on toast fingers or used as a dip or straight up on a spoon. #peas#eatrealfood#babyfood#babypuree#babyledweaning#weaningessentials#weaningproducts#ellaskitchen#peapuree#homemadebabypuree#vegetablepuree#firsttastes#weaning#traditionalweaning#6months

So, I always heard people talk about how their baby eats better than they do and I always thought they were joking... yeah, no. Eliza ate whole grain kodiak cakes with organic blueberries this morning while Mama ate a breakfast sandwich from a gas station ♀️ By the time I had finished cooking and feeding her breakfast I had no energy (or time) to make anything healthy for myself. This also could be why I had eggs two night this week for dinner
