The general rule for safe fat loss is 0.5kg - 1kg/week. While this is correct it generally does not play out like that. You will run into a lot of obstacles with your journey to fat loss such as stress, holidays, etc so there will be times you gain weight.
These times can generally be put down to muscle gain if you are doing strength training, and/or water retention from having a big weekend on the fizz.

There also will be times where you lose weight. In particular the start of your journey, Your body is provided a stimulus that it’s not used to and can be seen as a rapid weight loss.

Life in general you will run into obstacles, there will be bad days and there will be good days. Don’t get frustrated with these obstacles, just get back on wagon and keep going. The most important thing is to enjoy this journey, because if you enjoy it you will stick to it for the long term and see results.

When I first told my mom about my depression, she yelled at me. She told me I had no right to be depressed. She screamed that I had everything most people wanted. And I just cried back that I didn’t want this, I didn’t understand it. She never believed I was depressed because I could never explain to her why. I couldn’t find the words to tell her that everytime I look in the mirror I want to cry. I couldn’t tell her that everytime someone tells me “I love you” I wait for the “but”. I couldn’t tell her that no matter how hard I try, I just feel empty. So we faught for hours over my “depression”. Her constant screaming that I just wanted attention and wanted sympathy began to carve itself in my skin. She watched me cry and cry because I didn’t know what else to do. That was the day I realized when people ask you what’s wrong, they don’t really care for the real answer.

We went to a Keep Families Together rally downtown, so we didn't eat again until tonight. Let’s talk competitors mindset! I can tell you I’m not the only one who has a zillion thoughts in my head and many mixed emotions. Questions of ‘ will I be able to do it/ make it, why is my body not changing, why isn’t my fat reducing, why am I not seeing any muscular development?’ Etc etc etc and that can be even more aggravated with seeing others pics on social media.

Spent the day at the funfair today. Been 2 days off plan Friday - bought pizza. Crisps and sweets. And this evening. Chips and battered sausage with curry sauce. Need to get back on plan for the rest of week with next to no syns and walking 💕 big few days to try and pull back. But I’m going to give it a good try :)

Here is my first ever before and after. On the left is before I started my weight loss journey and is exactly 1 year ago on our anniversary, on the right is me from last night and this time on our anniversary I am a totally different person inside and out.

I always wanted to lose weight but like always I was too lazy or I loved my carbs too much. But after becoming a mother I realised how important it is to be healthy and happy. I wanted Mikael to live a healthy lifestyle and never wanted him to be like his mum. I started my journey when Mikael was 10months old and while I was nursing. I did not wanted to be too hard on myself while nursing. So I started with clean eating and I did that for 4 months. With clean eating I started having greens and proteins but also had limited carbs like 1 slice of toast for the day. With clean eating I lost about 5 to 6 kgs. After we came back from Hawaii I had planned on giving up nursing because I was going to full time work. This was the best time for me to make my goal happen. I started keto and have been doing it since March, ever since on Keto I have lost a total of 18kgs. I need to check again but haven't had the time to do so. Keto was hard for the first 2 weeks being honest but I was determined because it was now or never. Keto basically is a low carbs and high protein and fat diet. So I eliminated all my carbs, sugar and presevatives. I followed it strictly and now finally I give myself cheat days and balance it out.
I can write more but I will stop here and say that it is hard but not impossible. Every body is different and it takes time, so do not be too hard on yourself and be patient. It will happen for you!

Happy hump day! Here's a leg workout for you guys!
Swipe Left!! Don't forget to like and save so you can try it out ☺️ First of all, I'd like to point out that my form isn't great. I noticed that while watching these videos. Exercises need to be slow and controlled. And my back needs to remain straight during the RDL's.
This targets glutes, hamstrings, and your quads. Your legs will feel like noodles because mine are currently numb 🙃

Here are the exercises:
1. Hip thrusts (3x8)
2. Bulgarian split squats (3x6) side note: I did eight in the video and then I switched to 6 because it is a challenging exercise. Try doing it without any weight to test your balance. Once you get used to it, add on light weight and from there. You can use dumbbells or an EZ bar.
3. Romanian deadlifts (3x6) superset with single leg RDLs (3x6 on each leg). Those hammies will be burning 🔥 keep your back straight and make sure you feel the stretch on your hamstrings. You don't have to go all the way to your toes if you can't reach that far. If it's not challenging you, stand on a few plates and go farther down.
4. Kettlebell swings (3x8). I used a dumbbell. Either or works. If you don't feel anything, check your form and/or go heavier on the weights! 😋
5. Lunges (3x8) on each leg. This is a great finisher for your legs.
6. Not pictured: hip abduction (3x8). Don't forget to stretch and activate your glutes before this routine! If you tried this out, DM me and tell me how you feel afterwards! 😁

Not going to lie, today's workout was super uncomfortable. I'm a little sunburnt and my back is actually very sunburnt. I should've opted out of leg day today but I didn't. I could've done upper body 🤦🏼‍♀️ the bar on my back hurt awfully and the exercises after that just felt uncomfortable. My body is literally radiating heat thanks to the sunburn. I still got a pretty sweaty workout in. Focused a little bit on my hamstrings and hip thrusts.
For those who are going to ask, these shorts are from FashionNova. Y'all, I really don't know what the hype about this brand is because they haven't impressed me yet. I have a pair of capris that I like and that's it. The first time I ordered something, they sent me the wrong order. These shorts right here are cute, but they ride up so I had to get a hoodie from my car to cover up. 🙃 also, they run a little big so if you're regularly an XS and all they have is a S, don't order it. That's all I have for my no BS fashionnova review 😊 have a good week everyone!
