The first pic was taken 3 years ago when I was over 350lbs, the second was taken after I lost almost 150. When I took that first pic it was for my work badge and I hated it. I also never thought I was that big until I saw it. During that time I suffered from alcoholism and a whole lot of mental issues and it took me almost 2 years before I decided enough was enough. Now fitness and health is my life and Ive never felt so fulfilled and energetic everyday. I lost all the weight through weight lifting and HIIT workouts along with maintaining a healthy diet through CICO and intermittent fasting.

An hour walk this morning ๐Ÿšถ๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ - I do as many hills as possible to burn the most calories & then an #arms session for #burn and #tone ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ I only use 3kg dumbbells, I have been doing some of the upper body bits from #MichelleBridges workout incorporated with my own, finishing with #skullcrushers and dips but I definitely feel it and #sweat a lot!
Will get a lower body #workout tonight ๐Ÿ™ƒ so good to keep active, days off feel horrible!

Having a plan when starting out is definitely a must as it helps to guide you. However, if you then live by that plan and never go off if? That is when you open up a whole shit storm of problems.

Late night workout today. I kinda did random shizzz because I haven't been in the gym the past 2 days due to spending all my time studying for final exams && I wanted to just get a good sweat going. but it's summer now so we cooolll ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š

Did 10 minute max incline walk as a warmup. Then i did a some ab exercises. Went back on the treadmill to do another 10 minute max incline walk, but this time holding two 10 pound weights. AND to finish up - a little lower body circuit!!!! Lemme tell you it got me sweatyyy. I will post the workout tomorrow, so stay tuned!!! ๐ŸŽฌ

Let's talk about BOOTY GROWTH. Tbh the same factors I am about to talk about go for all types of muscle growth.

1๏ธโƒฃ YOU WILL NOT GAIN MUSCLE UNLESS YOU ARE IN A CALORIC SURPLUS. This means that you must be eating more than your maintenance calories/eliminating extra cardio sessions that will continue to unintentionally put you in a deficit. A lot of people are afraid of this because of the weight/fat gain, but it is the only way that your body will be able to build the muscle that you are looking for. Food is energy, eating enough proteins, carbohydrates, and fats are all equally important and if you aren't giving your body the right amounts then you simply will not grow.

This is often a misconception, in fact if you do this, you are only setting yourself up for injury and won't make much progress doing this. I train lower body twice a week, and three times at the VERY most (which is rare). Muscle grows when it rests. If you do not let your muscles rest and repair you will not see the transformation and growth that you are working for.
