I can't take credit for these words but I will say, this is my life mantra right here. Does anyone else relate?
I turned 40 in June and had an epiphany. I'm not sure if it was my age, all the books I was reading or that I just got tired of not feeling "good enough". I realized that my life, my happiness and my success was and is, solely dependent on me and how I act in the world.
While some days are hard, like really freaking hard, I've been very intentional about how I speak, act, what - and probably most importantly - WHO I give my time to.
We are in the season of giving now and I want to encourage you all to remember that happiness and contentment starts from within. Put yourself on your priority list and don't make "you" the last item on that list. Nurture yourself and listen to what your heart and mind are telling you and understand what you need. A break, a cup of coffee, a good laugh with a friend, a glass of wine, a workout, a new outfit, a new client it could be anything. But listen to you, and then go and make it happen!
