The other day I shared a lane with an elderly man, who excitedΒ said to me, "There's nothing like being in the water, is there!?" It's funny because had I heard that 2 months ago, I would've completely disagreed.Β πŸ™„Β See, I've always had a mild fear of swimming (or more like drowning), and for that reason, I never enjoyed being in the water. But when I made the bold decision to face my fears and train for a tri, my whole outlook changed. And in only 5 weeks, I've discovered that swimming is my new 2nd favorite form of exercise ('cuz lezz be real, running has myΒ πŸ’—). So here's my challenge to you:Β what fears are you going to face this week? How are you going to switch up your routine to get you out of your comfort zone? You never know what great things will come your way until you do!

Ok here it goes:
βœ…There are no foods that specifically cause fat loss or fat gain
βœ…Flavored Greek yogurt and granola aren't "bad" foods
βœ…You can eat any food you like in moderation and still lose fat as long as you're in a caloric deficit
.
However, some foods are helpful in filling you up and keeping you full for longer when compared to other foods. Some foods will also provide you with more stable energy levels than other foods.

For example, since the omelette meal provides more protein and more volume, it's going to be more filling and keep you fuller for longer than the yogurt and granola, even though they have close to the same amount of calories.
.
So, if you're feeling hungry soon after your breakfast or struggling to keep calorie intake under control, increasing volume and protein intake even while keeping calories the same can make your diet much more sustainable allowing you to be successful. πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ

Having blurred vision during this workout gave me the ability to ignore everyone else on a new level. I was able to give 120% in this workout. I heavy weight felt lighter. My form felt better and most of all I felt like a stronger athlete. This is week 5 of the program and I can already tell you that my lifts feel stronger.
