Throw Back Thursday to Farmer Mary’s favorite photo from all her many years living at Winterpast Farm Petting Zoo in Wake Forest NC. Her little man BARNEY had just dropped into her life after his original human died and CLAIRE the donkey was just strolling by during a photo session in the back pasture while the field was blooming.
The “Field of Gold” is back and available for photographers for the next few weeks before Farmer Mary mows down all the pretty yellow flowers. The plant is called Bitterweed and she doesn’t want it to spread any further since the animals don’t like to eat it and It shades out tastier plants.
If you can take the heat there is a work day at Winterpast Farm today from 9-5.
Thank you for supporting a small local farm family animal rescue.
