Just got back from a crazy, wild adventure in the jungle.
Since we had a day off from practice today, and I was looking for a solo adventure, a friend recommended a Jungle camp in Masinaguddi where a Panther and leopard had been spotted lately.
Since spontaneous solo adventures have always been my thing, I instantly said 'Yaaaaas'!!! And went for it.
After a few hours of drive from Mysore landed up at the camp, which was literally totalllllllllyyyyy off the grid, no electricity, no connectivity, I could hear animals outside my room all night!!!!!!!
This morning woke up at 5 am and we left for the jungle trek at 5 45 am, 6 hours of walking through thickkkkk jungle with no path and pouring rain, accompanied by local guides(one of whom was an Adivasi), trekking through the thickest shrubs, streams, slipping and sliding like crazy coz of the rain, we could see fresh elephant dung all over which meant the elephants were close around, and could hear the roar of a tiger, so we had to walk in complete silence for hours!!!!! Trust me it was INTENSE!!!!!!
And although there were moments I was wondering why I didn't just opt to go with the rest of my girlfriends to a fancy hotel in Bangalore for some luxury for the weekend, and there were moments I had a lot of fear, I felt a thrilling sense of being ALIVE!!!!!(and I guess this is what my life keeps coming back to!)
So all of you out there, whenever you choose the path which might be lonely and scary, just go for it, for if not NOW then when???!!!!
P.s: Gonna put up all the videos n pics from the adventure tomorrow morning!!!!
