A healthy griefing process helps us get better with the passing of time. Grief can lead us through pain so we can make the necessary and healing stops along the way to that place where new life is possible.
While the pain of your loss is real and must be felt, there will come a time when you must begin to live your own life again.
Your process through grief are your own. Take time to grief. Take time to heal.
Those who grieve well heal well.

Here we go... Day 12 (last day!!) of is Handstand~ . I chose a hollowback variation to open the heart and chest. Using the wall for any pose really can help you find stability and allow you to feel a deeper sensation. This pose really strengthens the shoulders, arms and wrists. And like all inversions- improves your sense of balance while calming the brain and relieving stress and depression. Any variation/modification is welcome here! Anything to warm up the core/arms would be good to practice beforehand.

Today is Day 10 of the Alo Yoga Challenge!
Eka Pada Koundinyasana, EPK or One Legged Arm Balance
This was the hardest pose in the challenge yet and I wanted to quit.
I didn’t as I didn’t want to fail at this challenge or to any of you.
You will notice that I am not as low with chatarunga arms as I should be or leg straight to fly. I used the modification with my back foot to keep me stabilized and tightened up everything.
I will keep practicing this as I can’t wait to see my progress and be able to fly with both legs. The funny thing is that what I just did rolls in perfectly with our mantra for the day.
Today’s Mantra is Everything happens when it is meant to be. It might not be today but it could be tomorrow. Who knows as long as you give with each and every pose!

39 weeks pregnant!
One week left till my due date.
Surprisingly, these last few weeks have been my favorite. I think it’s from the fact that I’m able to take deep breaths again
My beautiful mother arrived yesterday and having her here help us with preparations for the baby has made everything seem more real!
Waiting for labor and birth with so much excitement and love. I cannot wait to experience the baby’s journey into the world through my body, and to finally meet.

We tend to assume the best about our own intentions and the worst about others.
And we wonder why our lives are so full of conflict.
Always take a moment to consider: are you coming from a place of love, or from a place of fear.
Ultimately it helps to remember that no matter our differences, everyone is trying their best, with what they have available to them at any given moment - even though it's easy to lose sight of this in the rough and tumble of daily life.
Without one another, we would just be awkward bodies falling over.
My dear friend @solidbaseacro is one of those people who reminds me that I am not alone, nor would I achieve or become what I want without the support, mirror, and encouragement of friends.

often times we keep holding on to things we don't need anymore. we accumulate things in our minds and drag them with us around. mostly things and events that happened in the past. there is nothing we can do about them anymore besides grow.
realizing what we're holding on to is the first very important step. realizing that holding on to this still does not make any sense and does not benefit your life is the second. the next step should be clear from here on.
let that shit go and move on.
